I received a text message on Monday informing me that EE had changed their roaming conditions. That I now had to choose either EU Roaming OR World Wide Roaming. This happened mid contract and I was very surprised and concerned. In the EE App the World Wide roaming was still active. No mention of an effective date or a some background as to why the roaming conditions were changed. I visited an EE Store in Richmond today and both staff had no knowledge as to why the roaming conditions were changed, when they would come into effect etc. So I called EE and had a discussion over the phone about the matter. I was told that I could switch from the EU add on to the world wide add on back and forth. I had to tell the guide that this was not exactly correct as changing add ons are only allowed every 30 days. I work as Cabin Crew for BA and such a fundamental change to my roaming conditions is neither practical nor acceptable as I still had 8 months to go on my contract. I am extremely disappointed about the way this was handled by EE. Had I not investigated this further I would have been faced with additional roaming charges during my next US flight. I do not see the point of forcing customers to switch back and forth between add ons. It reminded me of the 'three' network a few years back when a similar decision was made in regards to roaming. I have now switched to O2 who have a much more comprehensive roaming contract with over 74 countries included. I am however pleased that I was released out if my current contract with EE immediately despite of 8 months running time remaining at no charge. The whole dealing with EE in this matter left me extremely disappointed and frustrated.

I?ve been waiting an hour and a half in store because the staff said that only the manager could help me and he was ?busy? chatting to a lady about an iPhone she didn?t know how to use? I was in there to collect an iPad which they didn?t even check if it was in stock and kept me waiting for hours. No stars at all if I could give.

I had several problems with EE customer services online and over the phone technical issues etc, and the store manager incredibly fixed everything. They were knowledgeable, empathetic and competent . A very customised and excellent customer service. Thank you
