Food was fresh, but....it was the worst Italian food which I have ever eaten. It tested like food in school canteen ( even not Italian canteen...?).
We ordered -
1.shrimps with mushrooms sauce - it was plate full of rice+ 4 small shrimps and 1 sliced mushroom ( rice wasn't actually mentioned in menu)
2. Mozzarella and tomato - very bad quality of products
3. Pasta - looked like pasta from tins
4. The cakes looked and tasted like they came from the cheapest supermarket.
5. Only fresh juices were good
The waitress spoke not really clearly.
And we payed around 100£ for 2 person.
Not recommended.

Fantastic authentic Italian food. The waitress (Guns N Roses fan) who served us was excellent and very friendly. Food was delicious with great portions. Would highly recommend the short walk from Richmond main street to go here and not a chain restaurant.

Very delicious and great service. Attractive daily special menus. Came here 5 years ago and could not forget the great food and vibes. As an Italian restaurant they also offer Sangria which was great. Ordered all the daily specials and loved all of them with amazing taste and generous portions. Particularly enjoyed the Italian pancake which was very chewy and flavourful - I wish it is a constant on the menu!

Took my 3 teenagers to eat here after visiting kew gardens. Pasta was fresh and cooked perfectly. Staff was very friendly and the kids loved it! No photos coz we ate it all before taking any ??cheesecake was awesome!

Traditional, family-run Italian restaurant, with excellent attentive service, and the food was served very quickly. Food portions were very generous and all food was made with fresh ingredients. Felt like authentic Italian recipes - the pasta, pizza, minestrone soup and tiramisu were all great.
We didn't have children with us, but I noticed they were very kind and attentive to those that did.
Nicely spaced out tables, so you don't feel too cramped, as well, so a relaxing environment. Lovely meal, thank you!

Amazing food. Sadly NOT great service.
Understand they are busy,BUT that should mean they can cope. Had to asks for water, had to ask for too many things and they were so busy getting customers in to concentrate on GOOD customer service which was LACKING. The tasty food was amazing but tbh the service put me off going again. SHAME.

Cafe Mamma has been our family favourite restaurant for 20 years- used to live very close by and after 12 years of being abroad we still receive the warmest welcome from Jose and his team. It?s not just about good food here, it?s about friendship and community connection. We?ll see you soon Cafe Mamma!

Hassan and Salvatore give fantastic 120% service
While Danny - Son of super Chef gives variations to the menu to satisfy the demanding of pallettes.
Really recommend and need try
Sit in the sun drinking wine having nibbles.
Watching the people go by.
