Amazing manager John was absolutely brilliant- patient and funny dealing many times with my nightmare of having everything stolen. I have been in nany times and he never loses his patience with a75 yr old anxious customer. Thank goodness you have have placed him here as past managers were brusque to say the least!!

Today my partner went to Barclays in Richmond to open a bank account. An Asian lady was very rude to my partner, she wanted to send my partner away right away because she didn't have an appointment. However, yesterday we tried to open an account online and advised us to go to the bank, and yesterday I spoke to the customer service, they said you can go in the bank without an appointment, you just have to wait a little longer. Well, it was all in vain! Because the Asian lady had such an accent that it was difficult to understand what she was saying, and she?s had to ask her back several times because of this. My partner's native language is not English, but the employee's accent made this much more difficult. Of course, my partner speaks enough to answer the basic questions that are necessary to open a bank account. My partner called me to see if I could understand, but the clerk refused to talk on the phone and sent my partner away. I don't think this should be handled this way! You could leave your unnecessary questions to yourself! My partner was told that to her, we tried to open an account online, but we couldn't and we got the answer online that we have to continue the application at the bank! For which we also received a code that my partner showed her! Understandably, she was told that he wanted to open a bank account. Why can't you be helpful? Doesn't she work there to help? It's unbelievable that the bank can employ people like that!
