Is booked in for a half head of highlights and a Toner, which is what I always have and I?ve been coming to the salon for over three years. On arrival I was told I wasn?t allowed the toner as I haven?t had a skin test. I didn?t understand this as I?ve always had the toner applied and not needed a skin test since my first time in the salon as my visits are always within 6 month. For some reason the toner wasn?t written down on my notes even though it had the service on my previous visit. I?d asked to speak to the manager as I was confused with the situation and presumed it must just be a mistake. The manager was in the staff room and reluctantly came out to see me even though the technician has asked her twice on my behalf to come and speak to me. When she finally came out to speak to me she admitted the mistake was the salons fault however she didn?t offer me any alternative, discount or anything to make up for the mistake caused by the salon. all she offered to me was a colour shampoo but this only last a few washes and isn?t the same effect and colour of the toner. All they eventually offered me as a compensation was £15 off the treatment I was advised to have. I?m I?m a hairdresser myself and i worked for Toni and guy for 7 years. The managers attitude and custom service was appalling and not how you?d expect any member of Toni and guy to be. I?m very disappointed with this service especially the manager, as I?ve been a loyal customer for three years too. I won?t be going back to this salon from now on.

The salon was nicely decorated etc and the staff were welcoming. Lottie was fantastic, she let me go through all my ideas and understood what I wanted and was really communicative and explained what she was doing, how certain products worked etc. She managed to get my hair to exactly what I wanted and we had great conversation! I?ll definitely be back.

I spent almost four hours in the salon for a root tint and blow dry when the treatment should have been done in less than two hours. Unfortunately the root tint applied didn't cover the grey on my roots and I was only able to notice it when the stylist was blow drying my hair half way through. None of the staff members that attended me (three different stylists one that did the colour, another one washed my hair and a third one that did the blow dry) said anything about the tint not covering my greys until I realised and flagged it to them. They called the manager who came and acknowledged it was not done correctly and the colour had to be reapplied. This time, it was applied by the stylist that started to blow dry my hair and then removed by the first one that applied the colour that failed to cover. After that, I had to wait for 20 min with my hair wet until the stylist finished doing some highlights. The finish look was fine but I was extremely disappointed with the overall customer service as I had 4 different staff members touching my hair without having a dedicated person. I flagged my dissatisfaction to the manager and there was not an apology not even a discount to compensate for the time wasted until they solved their own mistake. She only discounted the 'glossing' the first stylist apparently did to my ends which actually didn't make any difference as the colour was the same as the one I had before the treatment. I wouldn't expect this level of customer service for a high end brand like Tony and Guy.

I called this morning as soon as they opened as I needed to reschedule my appointment due to health reasons. They were kind enough to move it later in the morning. When I realized I would be late due to A&E waiting times, I called again to discuss moving the appointment to another day, explaining the circunstances. The line was not good and Emma told me she will call me again, she didn't and I called 25 minutes later. I understand the late cancellation policy, but I believe it should not apply to a 9-month pregnant recurrent client that needs go to hospital and who offers to bring a sick certificate on the future appointment. Emma insisted that I would be charged, so I attended feeling unwell and straight from the hospital. I had a cut and dry, and I was charged £10 more than 3 months ago when I had a cut, dry, and style. I won't return. P.S.: The hairdresser who attended to me was, as always, kind and professional.
