I will give 1 star, not for the store... for the blonde woman (30-40 years old) who works there, because today she was racist with me, and very RUDE ! yes, I'm from Eastern Europe, but I learned to be human first of all! ? ps : if you had a bad day you could take a day off!But 5 ?? for the old lady !

I have encountered friendly staff every time that I have been in there. It's my go to spot for donations and Christmas cards.

Visited this shop today and there was a tray with some charms in it all priced at £5. One of the charms was gold coloured and I wanted to buy that charm, however when I went to pay for it a lady employee intervened and said they cannot sell the charm because she believes it is gold. If it was gold it was 9ct gold and it was very light. There probably was about £5 worth of gold in it, if that. If you have listed something at a certain price then you should stick by that and not change the price at the last minute. I was not desperate to buy the charm so I said it?s fine and left it. It was quite offensive to me the way I was told I will not be sold the charm because someone put it in that tray by mistake, not to mention I was not bothered about buying it or not but this lady seemed to think I was desperate for it. Like I said there was probably only £5 worth of gold in it, as the charm was very small and very lightweight. I gave one star because that is the lowest I could give, I would not even give one star.I called this store at a later date to complain and asked to speak to the manager and found out that the person who refused to sell the item to me was the manager. I was accused indirectly over the phone of trying to get something for a reduced price from a charity. I highly doubt volunteers at this shop are truly volunteers but are in reality paid staff.

The shop is always untidy and very unorganised. If at least customer service was good but no one says hi or bye to you unless you actually buy something. It?s a shame. They could do so much better. People love shopping in second hand shops in Putney. They?re losing so much on potential customers.

Very expensive prices for a charity shop.

Went yesterday to treat my little boy for some toys, when my son who's is 5 started to make conversation with the lady at the till, he was asking and chatting away until he saw something interesting inside the glass counter, I think it was a yellow tablet or phone, I ask the lady to not show him and to not listened to him, but she was so pushy and got the tablet out saying that this little boy wanted the tablet, listen my son is 5 years old, he still doesn't know how to clean his back side on his own !!! Stop being imposing to a 5 year old to buy something that even herself didn't know what it was !

This store is in the right place for the right reasons, yet there's not much to be noted about it. They have a good selection of cute, fluffy toys that a child you know may hug briefly before being tossed aside in favour of the almighty Xbox 360. Most of these items appeared to be brand new too, with the clothing section remaining within the operative word of the phrase 'second hand'. The reading habits of the donators in the Putney area has to be commended: I found some cool novels by Yann Martell and Bill Bryson, two of my favourites! As always, prices are super low and if you go it's always a good thing to support a good cause. There's a load of old trinkets and household goods too, and you always get the feeling you might just pick up something old, valuable and random. Like Hitler's dinner fork.
