I was happy with the tests, but the salesperson who was there to help me pick new frames was rude and disappointed that I didn?t to buy more expensive frames - I just wanted cheap frame for reading glasses that I?d only use by myself when reading kindle/book etc.

Bad experience. Passed between 4 members of staff to test my eyes. Sent for a peripheral test without an explanation and when asking if there was any issue with my eye a member of staff looked blankly and said ?the optician should have told you?. When I questioned if anything was wrong (I was slightly worried naturally) she said she couldn?t tell me and I?d have to wait 20 minutes to speak with the optician (I?d already been there 1 hour so opted for a telephone call). Staff members also switched over (due to lunch break rota) during a re-test of reaction test which distracted me and I felt staff knowledge was lost. Finally I was shocked to hear staff arguing in the main reception, with a young male colleague shouting down to a female colleague ?you better do this? and calling her a ?nutcase? This male also complained that my optician had given me additional tests ?he does this for every patient? so naturally I worried who was right and whether I received the right care. I had a positive experience with my optician initially but overall it felt extremely unprofessional.

These people are racist and prejudiced they undermine people they literally denied my son access to services in there because I confronted them about leaving us outside when we were told to come 10 minutes earlier . They proceeded to make uncomfortable faces and dismiss us completely. I have gone to get upset so as I was walking him I tried to contact them again. This wasn?t received well and my son was denied service so what started out as them being in the wrong had now become only looking at my response to that wrong, which I thought was unprofessional and unfair the manager screamed at me and tried to match my volume continuously they told me to wait for a manager that was never coming and it just felt very biased as a black woman that lives in woolwich . I don?t appreciate being handled like that. I understand I have a right to deny service, but I also have a right to complain so I?m exercising that right

My friend was tested today and the optician kept insisting that she needed 2 new pairs of glasses even though she could read the chart to the end for distance and the reading chart with her existing glasses.The optician turned out to be a trainee and he was way too pushy. He made her feel really uncomfortable and she doesn't want to go there again

I booked at 9.30am one day b4 the booking they phoned up to change time abt 10mins early i said ok when the day comming they changed my appointment ag without telling me so if I wanna book at 9am I will book by myself

I booked an appointment online for a Sunday, when I got there, I was told they won't attend to me as Sundays were reserved for private clients not NHS...they made me waste my time . The manager's behaviour was uncouth, dismissive and not helpful by any measure

Just awful, never run to time, and customer service is rubbish, haven?t had a good experience there ever. Recently went to Charlton branch and couldn?t have been more different.

I think some of the sales staff must take exams in looking bored, not knowing the deals and in being rude. This could be a great community store if they could get pleasant sales staff.

Polite and fine. But getting contact lenses is such a faff. They won?t just give them to me to try, I have to wait several weeks for an appointment that might work for me just to try them on! It?s ridiculous and if I?d known I?d just have gone to a different optician to sort contact lenses.

My 9 year old autistic son had a 4:45pm appointment which we arrived on time and on entry we met staff downstairs who ushered us upstairs. Got upstairs there was no one at their reception desk. We had to sit and wait for another 15 minutes before someone was able to attend to us and she was reluctant to book my son in saying we were late. I explained we had been sat there for long. At the end we were told they had no optician to see my son. They offered to prioritise him the next day if we could come back and said what time would we like..(at this point i was fuming because my son being autistic, he is very routined and was prepared for the test) i said same time. Only for them to text me next morning whilst i was at work that appointment time was 11am! I knew i would not be able to make it earlier hence the 4:45pm. You need to sort your staff out!

I purchased glasses two years ago and was charged for a type of lens - more expensive - that I didn?t ask for.Decided to give them another chance and booked an eye test. Showed up 10 minutes early, as requested by the confirmation I received from Specsavers, only to be told they were short staffed and I would have to wait at least 20-30 minutes to be seen. When I asked why I wasn?t contacted to be informed this was the case, I was confronted with quite a lot of attitude by a member of the staff. The store manager was admittedly apologetic but that doesn?t give back the time I took off to waste a visit for an eye test I now have to rebook (somewhere else, goes without saying).Customer service in this store is most definitely not a priority and they lost mine and my family customs.

Eye test was fine but customer after-service was poor. If you're old or on benefits, best to go elsewhere as they were only interested in selling designer glasses. 'Please' and 'thank you' doesn't seem to be part of their vocabulary.

Couple of problems:Went to collect my prescription sunglasses and glasses. Vision through them was awful. "Oh it's just an adjustment period"...no...it's not, everything is blurry. Had a DO check to see if they had glazed the correct PX and they said it looked fine. When I got home, checked my old PX from vision express, turned out they muddled the eyes up which if they had slowed down and paid attention to, they would have picked up on.Dispense is rushed, sunglasses on the shelf fitted but new ones were MASSIVE, no care taken to check the sizing before sending them off.Just general lack of attention to detail from everyone working there. Got a prompt refund so can't fault them there, thanks for that. But don't waste your time.
