Went in the other day as I accidentally dropped my glasses on the ground, and the lens popped out.Asked them if they would be able to fit it back in, which they did so carefully and kindly (I?ve had opticians screw bolts in too tight and damage the glasses/frame), and they even gave them a clean so they were sparkly fresh when I left.Would highly recommend - very friendly and helpful customer service.

Amazing work you get from their team of tech/technicians they bring dead eyewear to live. I highly recommend to try them out.

Unbelievable service!!! We were looked after by Hani and Tracy at the Bluewater store and they were just amazing! Wouldn?t buy glasses from anywhere else now!

I had a very good service here. They spent a lot of time explaining the type of glasses that I needed and the glasses were of good quality. I particularly like the range of classes that they had as compared to spec savers where most of the classes just look the same. I recommend using this store.

When I needed to have my old frames re-glazed with new lenses containing my updated prescription, I visited and contacted several different opticians. In the past I have suffered splitting headaches when something is not quite right with the glasses, which I later discovered could be due to the coating/lens, and not just due to the prescription. For people who wear glasses all day long, eye care is very important, as an uncomfortable frame, or inappropriate lens can be very difficult to cope with, if not impossible to wear, not to mention very distracting.I visited and contacted several opticians, and I found that, like others have reported here on Google, John Lewis Opticians (an independent optician in Woolwich) to be by far the best in terms of competitive pricing, quality of the product, customer service (they sent me a text message when the glasses were ready), and a welcoming environment in terms of customer seating. It was definitely worth travelling a long distance for this Excellent service. Other companies may expect you to stand and view their frames for long periods of time.Having worn several glasses for many years from different places, I was particularly impressed by these new lenses in my old frame, and could definitely detect a significant improvement in vision compared to other cheaper glasses that I own, with the same prescription, when using a computer.Facing choices of lens thickness, different coatings, and different lens manufacturers can be overwhelming, but I was very well advised by John Lewis Opticians, as compared to other opticians, and very pleased with the final product. The final product took a little longer to arrive than other opticians promised, but was definitely worth the wait.In some cases, like others have reported, John Lewis Opticians, an independent optician in Woolwich, offered lenses to me at prices greater than half the price of other companies, who wanted to charge a labour fee, as well as a 50 % deposit for a job before it was done. The deposit that I had to pay John Lewis Opticians, an independent optician in Woolwich was a fraction of the price compared to what other companies were demanding for a job before it was done.As a customer, when a company demands a high deposit before a job is done, it could be a sign of potentially poor customer service, and very off-putting, as well as being told that re-glazing is a process performed at the customers own risk, and that if something goes wrong I would get nothing back from the deposit that I paid.Although buying glasses from the internet may be alot cheaper, nothing matches the personal touch, and professional service provided by John Lewis Opticians, an independent optician in Woolwich. I was disappointed to discover that companies who work on the internet in the glasses trade when it comes to re-glazing old glasses with new prescriptions ask for the full price by credit card before the product is even sent to them, and expect the customer to pay postage when sending the frames to them.I felt alot more comfortable dealing face to face with John Lewis Opticians, who were not only considerably cheaper than others, but were able to work effectively without an appointment only basis unlike other companies.Having had these glasses for a few days, I can safely report no problems, whereas in the past, incorrectly constructed glasses meant that I had to take them back to the company, and they had to replace the lenses due to the huge headaches I was experiencing.

Excellent service I had my first pair of glasses for the almost the half price of the other opticians on the high street. It takes longer as they don't have labs on the side but it's worth waiting. I have now booked another appointment to have my second pair done by them after 2 years. It is a family run business and they care about their customers.

Exceptional Service and I felt they genuinely cared about me not to mention much cheaper than the other high street opticians!! Couldn't ask for more

I have been a customer of John Lewis Opticians since 2014. Have purchased a number of pairs of Cazal glasses. Excellent quality, excellent service and brilliant lenses. I live in East London and travel to Plumstead, because no opticians comes close to John Lewis Opticians in my area. I'll be back soon.

Made an appointment on their website but when I arrived for my 9AM appointment the shutters were still closed. Waited around for 15 minutes but they still weren't open. I even tried calling their number - no answer. So I walked over to the nearby Boots opticians and booked an appointment there instead.
Very disappointed with this "John Lewis Opticians". They are not affiliated to the popular John Lewis brand but I thought I would give them a chance anyway. I will stick to well-known opticians from now on.

I've been a customer of John Lewis Opticians in Woolwich since 2011 and have received nothing but first class service since! A certain pair of Ray-Bans I ordered was not in stock and after staff took time out to order online on my behalf - I was offered a huge discount. Five stars all the way for customer satisfaction, excellent customer service and overwhelming value for money. Thank you.
