The supervisor named JACKIE deserves to be fired. My partner and I called into the Pinner branch to let them know about a pick up of 3 items we purchased a few days prior. Jackie proceeded to state that without a receipt she?s refusing to release our furniture items. We did not have a receipt nor were we told that this was the requirement upon collection of the items. My partners name, mobile number and items we purchased were recorded on their ?system? (which she told my partner and they both agreed it was on record) however she changed her story to??it is only written on a piece of paper which is used to produced a receipt? (what she told me on a separate phone call)We asked for a refund seeing as she was refusing to let us collect £85 worth of furniture and she then claimed that she would not be giving a refund without said receipt again.I explained that I have photos of the items that I took before purchasing them, a bank statement showing proof of purchase on the day and the location of their store. Again she refused. She ended the call shouting that I should just ?speak to the manager on Monday? She is extremely rude and condescending and sounds as if this job is the bane of her existence. Charity shops are supposed to be kind spirited environments for both customers and employees and this woman is very mean spirited to say the least. She clearly didn?t know the company policies (as it states online you only need a receipt for a return and refunds are up to the stores discretion) but all she did was shout and belittle both myself and my partner on the phone.Avoid this store at all costs. Unless she is removed of course. Worst experience I?ve had with a charity shop and all due to one incompetent individual (JACKIE). I will be contacting my lawyers after Monday if this issue is not resolved.

I purchased furniture and have now arranged pick up, supervisor Jackie is now telling me I can not collect or get a refund as we do not have the receipt anymore.I confirmed the items and she confirmed that she has the number I am calling from is the same number it states on the customer information but claiming there is still unacceptable. When I purchased these items, I was not told I would need it for collection. From reading other reviews, it seems like this place has been poorly managed for some time.No amount of apology can justify such poor management.

Never try to donate second hand furniture to them. They appear to want brand new with no wear and tear. They arranged a collection for one week, without any notification they changed it to the following week then when they did turn up, the wear and tear of second hand furniture was deemed not good enough for a charity shop

Extremely rude manager, I had three boxes of books and other valuable items to donate. My usual charity in Pinner had shut early on Sunday afternoon so rather than taking my donations back home, I decided to go to Sue Ryder. I got there at exactly 3.55pm but the manager had hastily locked the main door and was noticed walking off to her office in the back. I waited patiently for her to come back and when she did I pointed at the boxes through the glass door. She opened the door as if I was a criminal, asked what was inside the boxes even though they were all open and then gave me a lecture to come well before 4pm in the future, even though I mentioned that she had shut the shop 5 minutes too early.I mentioned that I was quite happy to take my stuff back home and she then sulked and asked me to put the boxes near the reception for sorting out the next day. As I was walking out, yet again she insisted that in future I should come well before 4pm. Needless to say, I will never donate anything to this horrible place ever again. Never ceases to amaze me how rude and ungrateful the staff at some of these places can be. They have forgotten the true spirit of charity and patience. I never even got thanked for my donation. ??

If I could give this store a negative review I absolutely would.Terrible, terrible rude staff ( If any one from Sue Ryder would like to know it?s Tracey) Went into this store with my elderly mother and father. The paid member of staff (not the volunteer), I believe not knowing I was watching proceeded to ignore my mother who was at the counter to pay and proceeded to shout at my father who was looking at some picture frames next to the cash desk. When I confronted her regarding her manner she became patronizing, condescending and even ruder and eventually managed to become aggressive and truly unpleasant refusing to offer any apology. When I wanted to complain initially refused to give me contact details and demanded I make the call outside the store? @sue_ryder this a company policy????I dread to think how much she has gotten away with regarding abusing the older customers within this store and if I hadn?t stopped her how else she would have acted.I will never visit this shop, charity or not again, and if you care for the elderly at all I suggest you don?t either.

The staff in this shop are wonderful and the shop is one of the best around especially for furniture.Samantha was called out in the shop where I was at the time as were many customers who were disgusted by Samantha?s behaviour, another customer squared up to her to point out that she had seen and heard everything and challenged the intimidating bully called Samantha. The ugly fat ogre who looks like a man was told her father and her were in the wrong but Samantha wanted to complain because ?it made her feel better?, how very tragic she is. She phoned to complain and continued her bombardment of abuse at tracy in front of children and customers. The woman who was the main witness phoned sue ryder head office and gave them the full and true statement of what happened. I saw two customers who were so appauled of how that vile woman assaulted a charity shop worker they returned with chocolate, fruit and biscuits to show their support.I?ve since heard the head office phoned the shop and gave their full support and have completely dismissed Samantha and her vicious false accusations. I would suggest she seeks professional help.

Disappointing attitude when bringing books back for resale. Really sad as they would have raised a bit of money for such a great cause

Zero stars! Obese 55 year old ignoramus of "manager" treats staff like servants. Abominable creature. Her obese minion (assistant manager) is devoid of good manners too.

As a customer I was always treated with indifference. This lazy manager does nothing except yell orders at her staff. Customers are the LEAST priority in this shop. What can one expect from ill bred ignorant nincompoops? Fed up and disgusted with this horrible shop!
