2 hours free parking if you spend over £10...lots of parking, well stocked store..

Sainsburys have balls up, spent a lot of time and money, putting high margin fat fighter chilled food right in front of where you walk in - like a wall to get around, to the fruit and veg area now two narrow when store gets busy. A '0' for new store layout.

Can't fault the selection, stock levels layout etc. Checkout staff are very pleasant. However, yesterday's experience disappointed....I had a really big shop.....over £400..?.big trolley. Had to wait possibly 8 or 9 mins to be able to start to load onto checkout....I asked the girl.if she could get someone to help pack. Which she tried straight away. 3 supervisory staff standing nearby chatting decided between themselves that there was no one available....they then walked down the store further and continued their casual chat. Even though I'd mentioned that the week before I'd got an £85 parking fine for not realising it was pay and display....and I'd got 10mins before my ticket expired. I'm furious....no consideration at all. Before you suggest it was a "meeting" in progress I could tell from their demeanor and joviality it was "just" a casual chat. Still Furious ?

Linda on the kiosk is probably the most rude awful person in the history of retail.

Make sure to ?pay and display? otherwise you risk getting fined like me.I?m not a local and was trying to get a parking coupon from the cashier like the most Sainsbury?s, but was told that it?s ?pay/display?. By the time I was back, the fine was on my front window.Yes signs are everywhere, I think I was just the victim of ?habit?.

Very quiet 3d before New Year's day. Everyone already shopped for that?27/7 - Typical summer hols day. Pretty quiet. Overpriced in places. Only buying specific things we love/have get here. Cheaper options available.14/11 - Quiet at 1430h. Getting expensive here. Need to pick your products tgat you must have, or are on offer when you visit.

Large Sainsbury's supermarket with some good offers when we were there. Loses a star because through no fault of the customer or checkout assistant we were kept waiting for some time whilst another member of staff tried to get a code for an item. Even the customer said don't bother I don't have time but the staff member persisted. 10 out of 10 for persistence but a lot less for keeping the queue waiting.

This is the supermarket closest to the Darwin?s House of English Heritage. If you wish to charge up yourself by a meal deal before your visit, this is a good place to take a rest first. Please note that you have to buy a pay-and-display ticket for £2, but you can use it as a voucher in this Sainsbury?s when you check out.

Well stocked with plenty of price drop products. Staff very helpful and polite. Clothing stores, newspapers and mags. Good argos store. Cash and cards accepted. Plus in store orders. Foreign exchange. Plenty of parking space. Bright, clean and relaxing atmosphere. Very good meat counters. Very wide range of products. Bit more expensive than other supermarkets. But there is Aldi price drop products. Worth a visit.

They had fresh doughnuts which are always sold out every where else. They were delicious. Customer service was great.

Very poor check out experience for such a large store. The shop itself is clean with wide aisles selling everything from clothes, toys and a wide range of groceries. The staff are able to direct you to the appropriate isle if you can't find a product. However come to the checkout and it very poor. On Wednesday 8 August lunchtime only 2 manned checkouts were open with long queues forcing people to wait and wait including elderly people with crutches or having a-small basket of goods. Meanwhile the self service checkouts had 2 staff supervising. No floor manager evident or bothering to open another checkout or even offering to scan shopping for elderly with a small basket of goods. Attitude to customers reads as give us your money, we don't care. Many still want or need manned checkouts.

Poor self check out. Using Smartshop it didn't reduce some of the prices. We couldn't scan some products. We asked an assistant to help and she carried out a full rescan and still couldn't find the price of a cabbage and a cucumber. How basic! What an annoyance and waste of our time. We usually use a smaller Sainsbury's in West Wickham but this one in Locks bottom was a disaster for us. We won't use it again in a hurry. In fact my wife stopped me from walking out and leaving all the shopping behind, which had taken us 90 minutes to find.Very poor.

Ancient car parking machines refuse to accept Google Pay. They need to be replaced. Sort it out Sainsbury's.
