Absolutely amazing food and service. Pies are out of this world. Went with family , 4 adults and 2 children. Adults all had the pie and children had scampi and pizza. Really delicious. Much better than the other pub in Downey.

Smelt like a proper pub. I don't mean like old alcohol soaked carpets, though.
Food was lush. Place was warm and cosy. Toilets well kept. It wasn't wildly expensive. Would recommend. Would return.

Booked a Buffet for my Grandson?s Birthday. Warm and Friendly staff. Great food. We had a fantastic time.

Visited here with my friend, her daughter and newborn son. We sat in the lovely beer garden and the play area kept the 3 year old very occupied.
We ate delicious meals we had a Sunday roast which was paired with the buffet selection of vegetables, potatoes and gravy!
The staff were so accommodating and lovely
We will definitely be back soon!

I visited here with my daughters, they all enjoyed the garden and play area. Great kids menu, they demolished it all. We had pies and they was amazing to say the least. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely phenomenal pub grub. Came here on a Sunday for pie and chips and was surprised to see a ?vegetable buffet? option. There was lots of choice and everything in it was well cooked and delicious, including the roast potatoes. The pies were large, well filled and delicious too. There was a good kids menu as well. We?ll definitely be back!

Came for a quick drink, first visit. Nice pub located in the centre of Downe. Lots of history. Service was good. Good choice of drinks at reasonable prices. Nice cosy atmosphere inside. Small outdoor seating area to the side of the pub. Dog friendly.

I have been here a few times now, and one day, I decided to try the pies. They are beyond excellent. The newest one the jalapeño and brisket one, was really amazing. I used to go to Downe village for Christmas tree farm and no I mostly go for the must try pies. Best pie I have ever had!
