Limited menu options (only pastries on Monday and Friday), but a really nice place and the staff are amazing: polite, friendly and super helpful.

As a previous member of back of house, I?d like to warn people that all pastry( cakes, pancakes, waffles and scones etc) are frozen and bought in. Desserts don?t get made in house. Most of the food in the kitchen is defrosted in the microwave and then just put under a salamander to heat up. Hope this helps

Just had a couple of toast and a lovely chai latte. Great place, very happy with the service, all the waitresses are smiling and eager to help you. I highly recommend it. ??

BR6 is run by the most passionate and enthusiastic teachers & coaches, imparting their depth of experience & industrial knowledge to the trainee front of house team and trainee chefs.
The food is nothing but amazing and up until the summer term, getting a table at this exquisite eatery has been simple and first option to dine in locally, and this says something, when you consider how many places to dine are near by!
I know I speak for the loyal diners when I say, it is a shame your service is not expanding and open as it was.
Serving only pastries and coffee compared to the taster menus or the summer, focal events to celebrate different occasions throughout the year.. is just sad.
As a local secondary school teacher in Technology and food, this is the one place I have to this point highly recommended students to go.
Please sort this out Orpington College, you have a willing staff, local and regular supporters/diners of your beautiful restaurant that want to be dined.
Kid-friendliness: My small daughter loves BR6, especially as her art work is on display ???

Visited BR6 on the 16th January and although I have been there before on two occasions I was very disappointed overall. Arrived at 13.08 we ordered waited thirty minutes asked if we could have our drinks apologies given for delay served coffees ten minutes later ,at 13.45 sandwiches were served,white bread ordered brown bread served! Should have raised this with waiter however after waiting over 45 minutes for two sandwiches and two coffees frankly could not be bothered .I complained when paying the bill the waitress said sorry .customer service very poor. Although food was very nice Evan if the wrong bread served. SB of Chelsfield

Wow! Where to start... being a big group, I was apprehensive of the quality of the food and the service but I was blown away! The service was fantastic, the servers were very attentive, especially Dominic. The food was top quality and utterly delicious, in particular the beef Christmas meal!!!!!!! I cannot wait to return!

What an amazing place to have lunch or a coffee and cake. This is a place where students learn the restaurant trade. It is contemporary in design and always looks spotless. The menu has a good selection for everyone. The food is presented really nicely and with generous portions. My personal favourites are the Salt and pepper Squid- yum ! And the BR6 club sandwich which is just delicious. The staff are awesome, kind and welcoming. We usually end up going twice a week as It is very reasonably priced. We have been for 2 of their more formal evening events in their restaurant area, the most recent was a wine tasting in association with Laithwaites, the accompanying food produced by the students. The 3 hour cooked pork belly with calvados jus was fabulous. 100% recommended.

Had a great evening sampling a 6 course taster menu with wines provided by Laithwaites. Food, wine and service was all excellent and probably the best value evening out we have had for a long while. Hopefully BR6 will do similar events again in the future, thanks to Peter and Marein from Laithwaites for organising and the college students and staff for the service, really enjoyable evening.

We have just visited BR6 for the first time. We had the full English breakfast. Service was excellent, they exchanged an item on my breakfast for another with no problems. The food was hot, tasty and good quality and at a competitive price. We will be back!
