I have really enjoyed visits to Wagamama over the years because of their friendly staff, quick service and decent food, but this experience at the Stratford branch has completely put me off ever returning. It was the most disappointing and frustrating experience I have had by far. No one came to take our order - we had to get the attention of one of the waiters to do so, which proved difficult despite the Stratford branch having a very large number of staff (none of whom seem to want to do their job). It was another long wait before 1 dish arrived (almost half an hour). Then, it was another long wait with no drink or food coming out. We had to flag down one of the waiters to ask what was going on and if they could check on our order. Eventually, the drinks came and the remainder of the dishes, but when they arrived, they had got the order wrong and given us an extra starter. When we told them the order was wrong, the waitress said we could have it on the house. The food arrived lukewarm. Wagamama staff always talk about how all food is cooked fresh to order and each dish is brought out as soon as it?s ready, but it seemed like these dishes had been sitting on the side for a while. The standard of food at this Wagamama is worse than a lot of other branches I?ve been to, so I would avoid this one at all costs. When it came to paying the bill, we tried doing it using the QR code system, but the bill was wrong as they had charged us for the extra starter (which was supposed to be on the house). We had to ask a waiter to amend the bill. He went to the computer to make the change and said it had been amended. However when we checked again, there was no change. As we could not get the attention of another waiter, we had to go up to them at the till point to explain the situation again. The staff didn?t seem to be interested in serving their customers - it was almost as if customers were a nuisance to them. There was also only 1 girl at the bar making up the drinks orders and doing so very slowly. On top of all of this, this branch seems to do a lot of business through online food delivery apps - there was a constant stream of delivery drivers walking through the restaurant and standing around and hanging out next to the kitchen, scrolling on their phones which really spoils the ambience. The size of the kitchen and the number of chefs is too small to have all these takeaway orders being made as well as serving a full restaurant. The quality of the food and the service suffers terribly. I hope Wagamama management take note of this and work on a solution.

I went to this place for dinner couple of days ago. We were seated almost immediately at table "1411" but it took almost 20 minutes and a few nudges before the waitress turned up to take our order. She looked quite uninterested in what we wanted to order and in fact got the simplest drink order of regular Asahi bottles wrong. We received 2 large bottles which we returned and then the no Asahi beer arrived at all. The food items came a lot more randomly than they usually do at Wagamama and after a long long wait. The waitress never bothered to check on us to see if we have received anything. The chicken katsu salad which I had ordered looked like a dish someone has prepared just before finishing his/her shift; all greens cut in haste with hardly any chicken in it!! All in all a huge disappointment. I understand Wagamama employ students as waiters to save on the salaries, but they charge top $ for the food . So it would be nice if they teach some basic courtesy to their staff. To sum up, horrendous service, bad food and a disappointing night!! Have vowed never to enter this restaurant again.

We were down in London for a few days and ordered a Deliveroo to our apartment. The food was hot and delicious, perfect end to a tiring day travelling.

Visiting daughter and partner in London after several months due to having major surgery. Came to Wagamamas in Westfield for a special lunch. What an appalling experience we had. Got seated in a corner and left for 20 minutes and had to go and ask a member of staff to take both our food and drink order. Then another wait before our drinks arrived and eventually our food. After finishing the meal we had another long wait of around 15 minutes before daughter went and asked a waitress for our bill as we had a train to catch. Bill eventually came and I checked it. The waitress had the cheek to ask if I wanted to leave a tip!! I politely declined and told her why. Non plused she replied "Oh sorry about that" I'll tell my manager and she walked away. Disgraceful service which totally ruined a special family lunch .

Having been to this restaurant many times, horrified to be served a RAW chicken and prawn Pad Thai.... kindly offered an alternative but just ruined our lunch

Horrendous from start to finish I have no words to describe my awful experience awful horrendous service not attentive ignoring us no cutlery bad food got bill wrong rude staff swearing got our bill wrong several times Manager undermining staff we were so shocked this was the worse service we received in our entire lives

Very nice food and welcoming staff. We were greeted politely and directed to our table very quickly. Orders were taken rather rapidly and food was awesome. We had Chicken Ramen and Salmon Salad and crispy butterfly prawns as well as mini duck wraps. Green tea is free Service was rapid despite the restaurant being full.

we had a great time, the food was fresh and tasty and after many years of visiting, this particular venue did not disappoint - only slight niggle was that it was too hot inside, but we sat close to the entrance and that seemed to help a breeze waft in :) super, helpful friendly service

This was the second time in two years I visited Wagamama at Westfield, Stratford. This was to celebrate my son's passing his A-Levels. My son wanted to go to Wagamama. The restaurant does not give you a family experience. Each group member ends up waiting 10 minutes at least a part waiting for their food. How is this a family or group experience if you cannot eat together and enjoy the food at the same time? You get a feeling of awkwardness, eating slowly as you are conscious other people on your table are also hungry and waiting for their food. Last time I visited Wagamama, they completely forgot about my younger son's order. I did not eat as I was waiting for him and my food went cold. Wagamama's 'excuse' is that the food is prepared freshly and it goes out as its gets ready. Hello? Good restaurants achieve sending out fresh food, how come its difficult for Wagamama? Disgraceful.

We like the food at Wagamama's so stopped here for a quick lunch pre-cinema. Food was fine but some of the staff were surly, uninterested and rude. We had to ask 3 times for a top up of tap water and at times it felt as though we were at a Karen's Diner (where the staff are deliberately rude). They had a real attitude and anything we asked for seemed like too much trouble. Will return to Wagamama's but not this branch!

Not the expected Wagamama experience, it was awful. Seated fairly quickly in the busy Westfield Stratford restaurant, food arrived promptly without the water requested. Quality of food was poor e.g. teriyaki chicken was dry, portion small, overloaded with sticky rice. After a second prompting our water arrived in dirty glasses with no ice. Bill requested and waitress entered the wrong amount i.e. overcharged and there was no apology. Staff were indifferent to good customer service and just couldn't care less. We will definitely not to returning.

Absolutely terrible. Came in sat down, in a format where you sit next to someone you don?t know. Then had to wait absolutely ages for someone to take my order. No one came so had to get somebody?s attention. Then when they finally came they took my order. Food arrived with no drink until after the food! I was soooo thirsty and asked for tap water which never CAME! Terrible experience- never again. Especially when it was my birthday!

Came for a meal after the Abba Voyager concert before getting the train home. Was very busy and not all the staff were great - we stood at the door for a while and at least two members of staff walked past without even making eye contact. Menu is typical Wagamama fare and it is obviously not cooked from scratch as it arrives far too quickly but we enjoyed the two meals we had none the less. Service is good rather than exceptional - the restaurant is just too big and the staff don't seem to have allocated areas but come and go at random Good value for London though

Normally love a wagamama, but this was appalling. Service was non existent to the point we had to get the manager to come and take the order. Food obviously rushed out after this so was not tasty or cooked well. Such a shame as Wagamama is normally an easy choice as a go to option
