Live around the corner from this place all my life, my dad is a regular every weekend and spends mammoth amounts of his money here. My mother and I came out for some dinner and ordered food and drinks. After taking a sip of my pint I noticed the glass was unwashed and lipstick was caked around the rim, after taking it back to the bar they exchanged the glass with no apologies and didn?t refill the 1 inch sip I had taken. After calling the manager Ivon out to talk about the awful customer service he said he disagrees with all our complaints which is quite frankly not how feedback works. He then proceeded to passively argue and refuse to refill the ?AGAIN? one sip of the drink, and insinuate the fact that he?s not sure my father has spent as much behind the bar (after coming every weekend for the last 20 years). Rude staff members, bleak atmosphere. Go to the Bull next to the common instead.

My husband and I went in for a burger after work today. Him in his work uniform with bad back and me, a school teacher exhaustwd after being on a school trip all day. We walked in, him holding his back and me looking weary. We respectfully asked if the kitchen was still open and we were told we couldn't be served as we stumbled in and were slurring. My husband is Italian so English is not his first language, he was holding is lower back as he is in pain and we were trying to get a burger and a drink.
This is completely unacceptable as we were not loud or aggressive, we just wanted to eat and have a pint on the way home. Don't visit this racist establishment, they are unkind and judgemental. I live round the corner and have been many times but will never go again.

I had an awful experience at this pub, I live 50 mts away and I?ve in many time, tonight I walked in walking and holding my lower back as I?ve injured and once we?ve got to the bar to order food and drinks the ?lovely? girl behind the bar said, straight away, that she wouldn?t have served alcohol to us, when I?ve asked why her reply was ?you walked in a bit stumbling?. Well that?s how people with a bad back walks. I?ll never walk into that pub ever again.

I went into the pub on this hot evening at 8.20pm for a pint. The pub was busy.
I couldn't get the card machine to process my payment. The dark-haired barmaid who was serving me (while taking another an order from another customer at the same time I noticed) told me in a blunt manner it was because I hadn't confirmed my payment. I told her I had. She told me even more bluntly that I hadn't. I told her I had and who was right here - the customer or the staff? She flounced away. The payment went through finally. I drank the pint because I'd paid for it and left. I won't return and won't be able to recommend this pub to friends.

Always loved this pub - been coming here regularly for 18 years. The food has always been really excellent. However, a couple of weeks ago, we popped in for a meal, and I ordered the ribs. Frankly, they were pretty horrid and not a patch on the sainsburys ribs we had the previous weekend!! Very dry and hard (struggled to separate them with a knife) and were absolutely drowned in sauce - clearly smothered on top after being cooked, presumably to hide the crime a bit. About a third of it was totally inedible. I raised it discretely with the waiter and he said the manager would feed it back to the chef. That was it. No one seemed to care that much. The girl who brought pur food out had also rushed off without asking if we needed any condiments so I had to go to the bar to ask for mayo, which was then presented in a few plastic sachets not the usual dish. Such a shame as the food and service are normally always exceptional. Really hope it is a blip, but it put us off eating there again anytime soon :(

My second visit to this pub. Seems to be the hub of Streatham Common, conveniently located near Streatham Common Train station. On my first visit, I ordered an old-fashioned cocktail, and it was excellent ; the 2nd visit cocktail was not so good. Whoever made it needs to go back to cocktail school, and the price!!!!!. Can't comment on the food there,but I think on Fridays, there is a pop-up pizza maker outside the pub that seems to be doing a roaring trade.

Staff are lovely Robert, Juan and connor all very friendly. Atmosphere was great and service was quick. Definitely a go to when I'm in streatham

Popped in for Sunday dinner and honestly, the food was fantastic! We started with the croquettes and the sausage with black pudding roll?both were so tasty and a definite must-try. It?s one of those places that works for anything?whether you're after a quick bite, sharing a few plates with mates over drinks, or just want a really lovely dinner. The vibe is great and the food won?t disappoint. Highly recommend giving it a go!

I wanted to raise a quick concern about my recent visit. I was served a flat beer, and when I asked for a replacement, it seemed like the exact same glass was handed back to me with no improvement.
Mistakes happen, but this suggests the staff may need a bit more training on how to properly handle such requests and ensure quality service. I hope you?ll take this feedback onboard.
