A proper builders merchant with lots of stock where I can touch any product I am thinking of purchasing. Far better than showing me a picture and a few numbers to make a decision on.

The people at Travis Perkins in vauxhall are amazing and so friendly and professional.
It was my partner and my first time buying timber and we didn't really know how it all worked. The team at vauxhall explained everything to us very patiently even before we were going to buy anything.
Omar went out of his way to help us and was very helpful as he explained how to cut the wood for the purpose we needed it for. He showed real kindness and explained the proper process to us.
Abdi was really kind also and helped us to understand how to buy the correct timber size for our project.
When the timber arrived, a few of the planks were the wrong size and after calling them travis perkins instantly sent over the correct size the same day so we could finish our project.
Really great people, excellent wood, very professional customer service. Would recommend highly!

Worst of the branches i have been. No one at the till. You if you ask staff member they tell you to wait. Two guys working in the yard one is all the time on forklift and ignoring you. Another is helping customers who are queuing. Waiting for 30 min and still not being served.

A huge selection of building materials and not as expensive as they used to be, they have changed and much more competitive in the price of things. Yard service is good, not too much of a wait. The shop is well stocked, quick and easy service, easy to get to and really helpful having a merchant near the city
