One of the staff members was incredibly rude to me. The card reader machines at the store were not functioning today, but the person at the counter told me something was wrong with my cards, both of which were perfectly fine. I had even used one of my cards to pay for something before I went to Sainsbury?s, and there had been no issues with it. When I offered to pay in cash, he rolled his eyes and scoffed at me, and asked me why I didn?t just pay with cash earlier. I was taken aback by his rudeness, but I replied calmly. I said I had no idea that the machines wouldn?t work today, and I also did not have enough cash to pay for all my items. I had enough cash on me to pay for 6 out of the 7 items in my basket, so I paid for those and left the store.From my estimation, the staff member was an Indian man. I am an Indian woman, and I noticed the difference between the way he spoke to me vs a white male customer. To the latter, he was very polite and even apologised for the inconvenience caused by the faulty card readers.I live quite close to this Sainsbury?s store, but I won?t be going there again. This experience has thoroughly put me off.

grossly underpaid and obviously suffering security staff who take it out on the customers and treat them like criminals...not a great place imho

I am disappointed by the rude and unprofessional behavior of the manager, an Indian gentleman, during my recent visit to your store. As a loyal customer, I believe that such conduct does not reflect the high standards that Sainsbury's is known for. I hope that this issue will be addressed promptly to ensure a better customer experience in the future.

It's such a shame that just because of 2 people the rest of the staff gets 2 ratings. The security guy literally snatched the bottle of wine from my hand because I just walked to a different aisle like I was gonna run out of the door or something. And the guy who checked my ID at the check out was so extremely rude and didn't even answered a simple question instead started talking rubbish. He ruined my whole evening with his attitude, words and behaviour. I walked out of the shop but that experience disturbed me so much that I immediately went back and returned everything.I have been going to this place occasionally and there is always nice staff there who served me before. But after this, I am never going there again. Its annoying because its only 1 minute walk and closest supermarket from my place.

I needed to get ginger and lemons. Found ginger easy but the lemons were there... At the bottom of the whole fruit/veg delivery. I didn't want to be trouble but one very polite member of staff offered to get it for me. He got out of his way to move all the crates just to give me a few lemons. I didn't check his name but he deserves a medal for going there extra mile. Made my day!

In the time of Covid we got told off for entering the shop separately when actually a couple. Didn't really realise that was an egregious crime and didn't really appreciate getting told off. Other than that, it's fine...
