Went 20 mins out of my way to return something to Wickes thanks to Google showing this option. No returns of products allowed here

If you're considering it, please spare yourself the Wickes experience. We had a bathroom ordered in this store and installed by Wickes in December 2021. Everything went wrong: the fitters delayed the start date (lying about the reason for the delay, as I later learnt). Then Wickes failed to deliver all the fittings in time, further delaying the work. It took many hours on the phone for me to get them to deliver all the products, only for me to later find out that it was the fitter who should have been making those calls anyway on my behalf. Then there was an issue with the design, as the shower panels didn't fit in our room. Since the work was finally, sloppily, completed, we have had three leaks from our flat into the flat downstairs.

I only walked past it as I do most days. It's a kitchen design shop not a retail outlet. Bespoke kitchens and bathrooms but I expect you could go to a full sized Wickes like the one in Cricklewood and get the same service. More I can't say.

Wish I had read the reviews before I got my bathroom through them! The builders absolutely amazing, but Wickes were a joke and won't be using them ever again. Had to constantly chase for updates, there were missing parts from the order. What should have been 5-7 working days turned out to be two months.

Customer service is laughable. Honestly, a person called John in their customer service laughed at me. Shakil ordered the wrong appliances. I had to buy the correct ones for myself. After three weeks of trying to organise a collection and refund, John laughed at me and said it wasn?t his job to sort it. So I?ve paid for an appliance I don?t need, can?t get rid of, and they won?t refund me. TERRIBLE

Spoke to people at this branch numerous times that I need either a new bathroom & shower fitted or a wet room for my elderly father who had fallen trying to get I the bath. My dad also has dementia so asked that all information must go through me. Was promised an 8-10 week wait for installation only to be told 4 weeks before that it would be delayed from July to October! Then they said they would get a new fitter but was let down again by lack of communication or they would speak to my dad who didnt understand! We paid upfront for the whole bathroom as needed it to be done ASAP - ended up getting a full refund but no wetroom for my dad which is what we needed more.

I don?t know how this branch is still operating. It is staffed by some lazy unprofessional people who, in my case, really didn?t want to make a sale. I needed to buy a new kitchen and two new bathrooms for a house renovation. After days waiting for someone just to respond to my inquiry, a man came to my home and proceeded to tell me that since I was changing the walls in my kitchen, he was unable to measure or provide any design services until the new walls were in place. He refused to take a look at the existing bathroom that would have no structural changes. He seemed to expect the builder to get everything ready in the house, then he would come and measure, we would place an order, and our builder would sit around twiddling his thumbs until the units arrived. To top it off, he looked at my contact details on the form, then asked, ?do I have the contact details for the decision maker?, pen poised ready to write down additional information, as if no woman could possibly make such a big purchase on her own. I ended up going to other kitchen and bathroom suppliers who didn?t insist on all of the structural work being done before helping me and it was such a massively different experience.

Please don?t buy anything major (kitchens, bathrooms etc.) from this supplier. I know it?s tempting due to the price, discounts and all their promises during the sale but they have caused us SO many problems with their mistakes and outright lied about numerous things. It?s not worth it - it will delay your project and cause you so much undue stress. I hardly write reviews but I had to for this as I cannot in good conscience let others experience what I did.To be clear these are just some of the issues we experienced:? When ordering and paying the salesman (Shakil) said the delivery would be done in 3-4 weeks. After we paid he changed his statement to say actually the survey might be done in 5-6 weeks after which we would get delivery.? Despite being told that they would call me to make an appointment, I had to chase Wickes several times in order to get their surveyor in to do the measurements. This delayed delivery of the goods and ultimately the work start date.? The measurements in my kitchen were not accurately communicated between the surveyor and main office so I ended up having a smaller worktop than makes sense for my kitchen. This ended up creating major plumping work for us to make sure everything fit.? Despite giving a clear quote during purchase for installation, the surveyor eventually doubled this quote due to ?specialist works? required. Even Shakil was shocked by this and promised to help sort it out but never did (in fact I was ghosted on email numerous times - he seemed to be on leave whenever I tried to contact him). Luckily we found our own installer for a reasonable price.? Since we found our own installer, we were due a refund which wasn?t processed for over a month - again I was ghosted on email by Shakil and met with confusion on calls by other employees.? They ordered way too much splash back given our measurements. We only properly realised on delivery and are will now try to see if we can return it.? They sent the wrong colour skirting so now we?re re trying to see if they?ll replace it but again this will cause delays in completing the work.? They advised us to buy a non standard hob without telling us it required special wiring (despite this being on all the sales websites). We are now trying to exchange the hob but this will also caused further delays in our work. It?s been a very stressful and disappointing experience on the whole so please think carefully before purchasing from them.

Staff are absolutely unwilling to help and direct everything to the customer services line. Close this store down and give the job to robots.

The designer got the dimensions of the kitchen wrong and made mistakes when planning the layout, despite having made measured the dimensions of the kitchen in person. They were also unable to accurately calculate the tile surface area of the relevant space. No discounts were applied to their offer, despite Wickes' 50% seasonal offer; we were later informed by another Wickes branch on that a 50% discount should have been applied. We were not informed of additional offers, including the 4 for 3 deal on appliances, and a 10% discount voucher on finishing touches. The designer was very aggressive about 'closing the deal' on the spot without giving us any printed and itemised quotes to consider.

My experience with the Wickes Muswell Hill store reflectes how Wickes is unprofessional and not a company to trust. The above store designer agreed with us that we post our London property key to her store so a surveyor can go prior to our placing and order as we live outside London. That's after playing many games about the offer regarding the pricing which was going to cost us 20000 GBP for the kitchen and bathroom, something we were willing to pay for a integrate, trustworthy and honest company. But she played games to trick us to commit and pay upfront then face more hidden costs. Before we realised the games, we sent our property key to them using secure post. But because we then disagreed to pay the deposit first and said we won't go ahead with the order, the vindictive store designer and her manager refused to post our key back to us. We live outside London and the lockdown can go on for months, which means we cannot possible collect the keys ourselves. Once they took possession of the key and we didn't progress the order, they are refusing to send it back. They first said that sending it back was conditional on our placing an order! Ridiculous claim indeed. Then oh it's not store policy to post the key back: if so, why did they accept for the key to be sent to them and posted back in the first place? We have evidence emails and texts. Then when I contacted customer service, the new lie was we are short of staff so have no time to post it. Also evidenced in an email!! Then, when we posted a review here, we received more lies from Wicked and again they continue to hold on to our key at their Muswell Hill store. I contacted the customer relations manager as well as the CEO and will relentlessly continue to escalate and expose their lies and poor staff. I also reported the incident to the police so if anything happens to our now insecure property, Wicked Wickes and its staff will be held responsible. It's amazing how trusting the Wickes name was such a big mistake. My advice is to run away from Wickes and their lies. Otherwise you will have a problem with your property, like us. I will continue to tell the story everywhere to protect other customers.

Dreadful ExperienceI wanted to have a new bathroom and kitchen fitted to my appartment. The Wickes designer from Muswell Hill store came out and measured up and following day went through the design. We wanted the designer to give us an exact price for the work but she said she couldn't until a survey was done and for a surveyor to go out they required the full payment up front. However, with some discussion she agreed that I could pay a deposit of 10% after the surveyor's visit and balance on completion of work. As the appartment was lying empty and the national lockdown had started in the mean time it was agreed that I would post out the keys to the appartment to the Wickes designer by secure post and once the survey was completed she would post the keys back in the same way. Unfortunately, once the designer had the keys in her possession the Muswell Hill store manager called saying that the surveyor could not visit until I paid the deposit. I explained to the store manager that this was not what was agreed and that I no longer wanted to get my bathroom and kitchen done by Wickes and asked for the keys to returned to me by secure post. I was told by the store manager that she could not return the keys as I did not place the order with them and if I wanted my keys back I needed to go down and collect in person. I told the the store manager that we in a national lockdown and it was impossible for me to make the round trip of 120 miles just to collect keys. I contacted Wicked customer services but without success. I am worried that my property is insecure as anyone could take the keys. This is no way to treat a genuine customer who was willing to spend £20,000 with Wickes.

You are so useless that Google now thinks I'm a robot for clicking on the store so much...Everyone steer clear!83 phone calls and counting to Wickes numbers32 emails and counting to/from WickesWhat did we order you may ask? Well we decided to get 1x kitchen and 1x bathroom, delivered and fitted. I'll edit this review with the link to my trustpilot review when all this is over.
