Vegetables were hard when I told waiter he said vegetables are cooked like that for flavour. Someone else complained behind me and you then came up to us and said the chef was going to make some more.. No offer of discount apology etc. We didn't eat any veg. Then I had dessert which was a chocolate and orange sponge which was overcooked and crispy. It's a shame because when I went there after Christmas it was lovely and highly recommended

We had a lovely lunch, delicious meat and veg, the best roast potatoes I've ever had, and apart from the drinks, very good service. However, the drinks were complimentary as they came AFTER the meal. It was very busy. Staff were super. We were very late but that wasn't a problem. My first time there but definitely not my last. And a super waitress Jolie.
Kid-friendliness: There were lots of kids and the place seemed relaxed about them.

the food was amazing but the lady at the food counter was rude and wouldn?t understand anything i was trying to say. shouted at some poor old guy as well for no reason.

I came here for Mothers day, it's the worst tobys I've been to. The host didn't even greet saying Happy Mothers day, the food station was dirty and empty. The meat was dry and only a little bit left. The food tasted awful no one at my table ate all that was on their plate. We decided to get a desert, the treacle sponge was a toffee muffin and the custard was cold. We weren't even there for an hour, which shows how terrible this place was.

Services and food were good but I was given a PCN because I parked at the private car park of Toby
Is it a joke?
There is insufficient light at the car park, I can?t really see any prominent notice saying I need to register or I can find any device at the reception ?ridiculous I am going to pay for that and will appeal for sure

Toby carvery was ok, good atmosphere and average service, unfortunately not much choice of food for fussy little eaters. Not much apart from a roast dinner.

Simply appalling. This is hands down the worst branch of Toby Carvery in the UK. Walked in to find foyer full of food delivery drivers squabbling with the useless manager who saw them as a priority over customers waiting to be seated. Eventually, escorted through to dining area to find the place absolutely filthy. Every single table was dirty with food strewn all over the floor and dirty plates everywhere. Best described as unhygeinic conditions. Waitress looked fed up and dropped dirty plates which smashed threw times in the half hour we were trying to eat out dinner. Raised the issue with the useless "manager" named Kiko. Found him rude and unprofessional. Given that he was the "manager" hardly surprising the place waa chaotic, filthy and staff looked fed up and uniterested. Truly an awful experience. Formal complaint sent to Mitchells and Butler as these kind of "managers" like Kiko need to be weeded out of the organisation if things are to change. The entire place was a filthy, chaotic branch that lets a great chain of restaurants with usually caring, professional staff down. Simply awful.

Horrible. Not recommended at all. Don't waste your time and money, better go to a pub and you will get better food and staff service. Portion of meat one slice, I asked more meat and I've finished arguing with an old woman as a "chef" Like Caribbean looking woman. Very rude, she had a bad day for sure. I don't care, it's not her job to ration the meat. She only need to put the food on plates of customers. Service table awful. Waiting for our drinks for minimum 20mn. Two kid menu after 20mn though. I've been in Toby's many times in the past, this year it is the last I'll be in this one in Mitcham. Everything just awful and expensive. What a shame. It used to be a great place for family time and special occasions, not anymore. I don't see a long future for this place.
