“My nearest supermarket was skeptical to go there at first, and now I'm there on a weekly basis. Great fresh produce, and to top it off, they bake breads and pastries fresh in-house. They also do gadgets and clothes, so you really just go for milk and come out with a trolly of stuff !”

“Me and the owner of Lidl go way back. We used to go to school together in Streatham before they moved back to Sweden. He was a wacky guy and used to do chewbacca impressions for mints. I remember him letting off fireworks in the hall during a fire drill. One day his folks just got up and left. Turned out his Dad was a military adviser to the US on Swedish tank movements.
