I stayed for one night i am not happy with service as they didn?t take previous customer used stuff like coffee cup because of this room was smelling like milk, even bodywash dispenser was empty. It?s not worth after paying 108£ for one night stand

This hotel should be knocked down.
There is no air conditioning in the rooms, the window in my room was broken it's right next to a busy train line, so is very noisy! It is also easy for the next building to look into your room.
Bathroom water is questionable: showers intermittently dribbles between hot and cold , and there is more air coming out the tap than water.
Marked down on location due it being next to the train line, but it's also near the Tower of London and the DLR
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL

Certainly not Ritz standard but a perfectly adequate Travelodge. Rather tired decor, lacks air conditioning but fine with the fan and open window. Traffic noise was as expected for a capital city, quiet until early morning but not intrusive. Contrary to the numerous recent feedback comments posted, the trains were barely audible - maybe I was lucky although I was in a street facing room. Staff were friendly and efficient, overall I would have no qualms about staying again.

Don?t book, if you want to get a sleep. Windows without any soundproofing directly above train tracks with horrendous noise. A bathroom without mirrors but with many holes on the walls. A shower with water getting from boiling hot to cold without my interference.

The hotel is well past due for a full refresh. There is no aircon and the rooms are stifling, which they must know about as my small room was provided with two large desk fans to push the hot air around. The water system can't make it's mind up alternating been superhot and icecold at random, made showering fun.
Also, curtains that don't cover the window hope the neighbours enjoyed the view ?
The location generally is good however, it is down a dark side street so would not recommend for solo female travellers. Staff were friendly. Will definitely never stay here again, I was travelling for work and I wished I'd slept in the office instead.

Me and my partner just stayed for 2 nights in this Travel lodge, hotel was adequate could definitely do with an uplift ie carpets in corridors lift bathrooms in rooms need updating, could also do bath mats in rooms, tea making facilities good but could have done with some glasses in bathroom when brushing teeth need to rinse mouth, staff were great from check in to check out very friendly and and professional.

You're better off staying at a hostel than here as it would genuinely be better.
The worst hotel I've stayed in, avoid!
The hotel was lacking in several areas including location, safety and the room.
The rooms have no air con, we went in on a humid day and the heat was unbearable. In the elevator, you feel it but once you get into your room it doubles. The only thing keeping you somewhat cool is a desk fan.
You want to open the window? Well if you do, you'll have to deal with the sound of the railway which is right beside the hotel and runs until past midnight. It became so loud in the early morning (6-7am) that it was impossible to sleep. (Watch video for sound)
To add, at around 1:30am someone knocked on our door and people were constantly walking up and down the corridor talking at a normal volume even though it was way past 2am. This disturbed me and my boyfriend and I became extremely anxious, unable to sleep.
The bathroom had mould, the rubber was peeling from the walls. I couldn't even bring myself to use the shower. The floorboards in the room were rotten, and were sinking making us feel unsafe.
While the location is a close walk to the underground and Tower Bridge, it does not feel safe. It is down a dark alleyway, and l was lucky I was with my boyfriend as I would not have felt safe to go down there if I was by myself.
I paid nearly 100 but could have got a better experience at a hostel that was quarter the price. Never coming back.

No air conditioning at all, rooms feel like 40 degrees even when it?s not hot outside and all you get is a rubbish fan and obviously can?t open the windows much, the window in the toilet doesn?t even open so you get one window that opens a couple of inches. The trains are incredibly loud, if you think you?ve experienced loud trains no you haven?t unless you stay here, you might as sleep on the tracks. You have no choice but to leave the windows open as it?s so incredibly hot in the room so it?s a lose lose situation having to choose between being even hotter than you already are or be deafened by the trains passing. The rooms aren?t in good condition, part of the floor in the room I stayed in seemed like it was sinking (huge dip and was spongy) all the skirting in the bathroom is peeling away from the walls. There are no plug sockets near the bed or even a bedside table. I wouldn?t feel safe staying here by myself, getting to the hotel walking from Tower Hill you have to walk through an underpass and a passed a 24/7 car wash, it would be scary for someone by themselves at night to travel here so definitely would advise against any solo women thinking of staying here. While me and my girlfriend stayed here we had someone knock on the door at 1:30am and people are walking up and down the hall all night. We spent almost £100 for 1 night and was by far the worst hotel I?ve stayed in and I?m an avid traveller. I would never recommend this to anyone unless you can get a room for anything less than £50 which probably isn?t ever an option. I can?t comment on any service or food related issues as we didn?t have any food from here (from all other experiences I wouldn?t trust that either). In summary this was the biggest waste of money and wouldn?t ever consider coming back here every again even if it were for free

Very clean hotel, friendly staff. Breakfast way better than Travelodge standard.

Cheap and convenient for central London, bit noisy (even on the 'quiet' side) as next to a train line

I consider it a public duty to repeat the warnings of others about the train noise, which is just ridiculous. If you think it won't bother you, think again. Apart from the close proximity, there's a set of points which means some of the trains hammer the noise into your soul. You can't block it out as the window hardware isn't up to the job. Throw in maintenance workers taking an angle grinder to the tracks at 1:30am, and your experience is complete. Best option is to stick the desk fan on max, which masks it to some extent and also stops you roasting.
I lay awake wondering where Travelodge draws it's own line on minimal acceptable standards.
More positively, yes the place is basic and tired, but I had no issues with cleanliness, and the staff are pleasant, which is remarkable given the complaints they must endure on a daily basis.

Awful, dirty hotel right next to the train track. Very noisy. Hotel staff didn't do anything when told the room was filthy and the sink was blocked. Beds uncomfortable. Staff gave me a number to ring about the problem and they hung up on me. Never been to such a disgusting hotel or had such awful customer service from a hotel chain.
Absolutely AVOID.

Railway line right outside, so a bit noisy. My mattress was a bit on the hard side but the staff were very pleasant and it was really cheap for London so overall I would recommend.
