On a recent holiday to London, we visited 4 times!! Totally worth the hype. Amazing and attentive staff!

As a lover of Indian/Pakistani cuisine, I was delighted to find that Tayyabs exceeded my expectations. The lamb chops, in particular, were a standout dish, perfectly cooked to tender perfection and bursting with flavour. It's no surprise that they quickly became my personal favourite, much to the amusement of my

The food is 10/10.... Best Indian restaurant in London.... I have been here a few times... and the chef is consistent,.. the lamb tandoori chops I always have my own portion of 4... Mango lassie is to die for.. prawn curry, spinach with potatoes and almond naan...was also very delicious...Mmmm... for 2 people the bill was the cherry on the cake for my hubby as it alll come to £60.90...I cant remember a bill being so reasonable and great food at the same timeWe will be back!

We were recommened this place by our course instructor as the best curry in London. We didn't have a booking, so turned up and was told it would 5 minutes for a table which in fairness, it was. My colleague and myself ordered curry and naan bread and were surprised when there was no beer (our instructor didn't mention it was BYOB), as the waiter was leaving I asked him if rice was included and he said no so we added rice onto the order- again something that I thought was unusual as waiting staff usually ask. When the food came, the curries were under about 1/2 inch of oil, we both struggled to enjoy / eat the meal and left. I'm not sure if food is served in that much oil traditionally but neither of us have experienced it before.I've had nicer curries on brick lane so will stick to those in future.

This is supposed to be an 'iconic' East London restaurant but it has, perhaps, become a victim of its own hype - and cult appeal. This was my second visit here. Made the mistake of not booking a table on a Saturday and had to wait more than two hours for a table. That time, the food was mediocre. Second time around, was seated upstairs on a Friday night. Be warned, it is very, very noisy and loud and full of students; tables are crammed in together and there is very little space. Were quite quickly offered poppadoms and mango chutney, raita and another sauce. Crisp, light and non-greasy, the poppadoms were delicious. Was part of a big party, so our order took a while. There was a mistake with my main course order of the signature dry lamb. When it arrived, it was quite bland not at all spicy. My starter of two pieces of tandoori chicken was perfectly cooked and charred. The marinade was excellent and it was served on a bed of wilted onions. This was, by far, the highlight of my meal. Friends ordered their signature lamb chops and they looked amazing. If you come here, maybe, order the lamb chops. Stick to the staples. Great that it is BYO.

Booked a table for 5 first waiter was a knobhead rude made us use the downstairs toilet all because he was not bothered to open it but insisted it was open. We ordered 2 mix grill, 5 naan, 5 pliau rice alongside chicken jalfrezi, keema karahi, daal, lamb karahi and king prawn karahi. All was delicious cant complain about it had no problems with nothing will highly recommend the keema, king prawn and the lamb chops is the one that everyone i know comes here for there so obsessed. will definiteley come back here as long as i dont see the first waiter. Atmoshpere was great so many people place was almost full.

Favorite place in East London for lamb chops and kebabs! The pistachio kulfi is one of the bests I?ve ever

This place used to be great. Great tasty chops. Now they use such bad quality lamb you can?t even chew a chop (just hope it was lamb). So so so chewy. All of our dishes lacked salt and flavour. Very disappointing. Go Lahores or Needo instead.

Sure, it is chaos inside - or at least it was when we turned up at 7:15 on a Wednesday evening, but our booking was honoured and the food was most honourable. Finally I understand why my sister rates paneer so highly, the naan was delicious and the karahi chicken had a wonderful depth of flavour. I hope to get chance to go back one time to try the highly-rated lamb chops. It's a huge venue, do be patient if you have to wait - it is worth it.
