In the app said it close at 8pm but the members of staff said we closed at 7pm he didn?t let me stay upstairs and they took off all tables downstairs It?s a shame I never seen Member of staff for Costa Coffee I?ve been a customer for Costa for the last 11 years

I visited costa 257 whitechapel road on previous occasion and ordered two cold drink and sandwich, the staff member did not warm my sandwich, he stated that it was 15 minutes before closing time.
On 24/06/2025 I visited costa again and ordered two cold drinks and two sandwiches, the same (Male) staff member told me that i cannot pay together therefore i have to pay for cold drink and sandwiches separately.
i visited many costa and had never heard that you have to pay separately.

Plenty of places to sit. Staff very friendly. Right opposite hospital so if you need a break come here to relax

Coffee was good, quick service. Staff weren?t as rude as some reviews say. Upstairs the chairs and tables were relatively clean. Very hot in the spring/summer feels like you?re stuck in a greenhouse.

Staff are amazing but the shop is too hot to drink hot drinks inside. No working air conditioning, it is shameful for such a profitable company to leave staff in those conditions!!!

According to Google and their window opening times the store is supposed to open at 6am. I arrived at 6:30am and was send away as they claimed they were not open yet. I have chosen this location in particular for coffee as it was on my way to the airport and open.

we ordered 2 warm hot chocolates for the kids but they ended up only charging us for 1 and made it really hot. The service is really bad because they don't listen to what you say and they dont repeat the order. The staff need to be trained harder. The staff that was on duty was Jumel.

Very rude staff not professional at all .Coffee taste was really bad.All of the staff was busy talking in different languages , I was confused probably they was teasing customer .very disappointed

This is a very convenient Costa right at Whitechapel station. The staff are always friendly - service with a smile and a laugh - especially Mohammed. Come here often when in Whitechapel.

asking me for ID to buy a brownie because it was my birthday?? workers seem miserable all the time imagine asking me for ID because on the app you get a free sweet treat ... so agitated over one brownie is weird , saddos
