Booked farmers day event 10 am -4pm we did it last and the kids thought it was fantastic however our experience this year is very different and my children stood around bored cleaning up one pen for 3 hours, with 5mins interaction with a ferrets, another hour spreading hay bundle and filling up water tanks all this does not take 4 hours to do. No animal experience like last year very poor kids are fed up, not given proper instructions, they felt not listened to. The teacher who I initially left my children with changed after an hour and had male called Sam, who clearly isn't capable of interacting or given clearly direct order to children with SEND Needs. Please don't host events if you cannot apply basic skills of communication. All the kids and Sam look unhappy and in despair and miserable unlike my experience last year totally disappointed, the cafe is full of flies over food pots pans everything again nothing like last year's experience. It's disgusting! I recommend a friends here this year because of our good experience last year and I'm so embarrassed and ashamed that this place has let go and not even bothered that its gone down hill.

Disgusting, flies everywhere, animals in closed in small spaces, the poor rabbits are in cages, food looks raw, flies all over the food, if I could this place zero stars, I would

Sorry but what has happened to Deen City Farm?
It was full of beautiful flower ideas,
Hundreds of chickens, some rabbits lots of information about animals that should be in the pen, but the pens were empty, a good selection of goats to see and some sheep, 1 donkey, horses in the area we couldn't get to.
The play area looks amazing, the food place looks good,
It's very disappointing no pigs.
All very much not looked after, very upsetting I know it's free to roam, but people who had donated money were saying maybe ask for the donation back as it's just not worth it, such a shame,
I feel you need to be funded and taken over by someone who loves animals.
I hope to visit again in the future and see some wonderful animals.
No photos as I felt it was embarrassing to take a picture. ?

A nice enough place to visit with small children but overall it just feels like it could use some more love! There aren?t actually that many animals around and the cafe is quite sad. It could be so great and I do appreciate they are a charity.

Went to feed the animals whilst walking past on the way to Abbey Mills. We were less than half hour in there but it is a cute place with a cafe. A donation is required upon arrival but they take card and cash.

A great place not only for children ;)

Nice farm, the access is free but they really appreciate donations for helping the farm and the animals! There?s a nice little play area with wooden playground activities for kids, and close to that some picnic tables, and a nice cafe with indoor seats too. You can also buy food for feeding sheep and goats, there are several animals and there?s a chance to prebook activities to do with some of the animals (including riding horses/pony!)
It?s a nice place to go to, even for a couple of hours :)
Don?t forget your wellies if there?s been a rainy weather before, it can be quite muddy (but still fun!)

Always such a beautiful afternoon spent at Deen City Farm! Perfectly sized with enough things to do with the kids that last hours. We had a Farm Tour with the Ukulele Man which includes a lovely personal meet + greet with most of the animals, whilst having loads of singalongs - the best way to see the farm and get to know the animals better, a real highlight were the baby lambs! We've even spotted pony rides for our next visit.
We've also been to meet Santa at Xmas which is just so heartwarming, then go feed the animals after. Thank you to the Ukulele Man and all the volunteers at the farm for making it really special, we'll be coming back again and again!

Very cute farm with horse rides my kids enjoyed it. ( horse rides need advanced booking ) Also the walk to the farm is very beautiful. People who love nature walks I total recommend this place.
The staff in the cafe could have been more friendly but other wise all good xx

Absolutely loved this place - you get to meet the most adorable animals in a relaxed picturesque setting. The garden is amazing as well. Love that you can buy animal food to feed certain animals! We got to meet the lambs over the Easter holiday and the staff was absolutely fantastic and let us hold and snuggle the lambs. We loved our time at the farm??

This is a great little farm and we love visiting as a family and seeing all the animals. There's a nice little cafe and a playground for little ones.
