Dinner with a friend last night. Great buzzy atmosphere which was great!Food options are not extensive but the quality of the food was nice. The pork belly sliders and the chicken and mushroom ravioli standout dishes. We had the banana parfait for dessert and that was heavenly! The only downside was the service. We felt so completely rushed - we had barely sat down before the waiter came over to ask if we were ready to order. A minute later a different waiter came to ask the same question. We were eating our starters and had not even started eating one of the shared dishes when our main arrived and the starter was pushed to the side to make room for it?.Such a shame as the vibe and food is great. Generally love JA restaurants having eaten at Pollen street and little social - so was looking forwards to this first visit. Not sure we would come again sadly

Visited the Blind Pig bar for drinks and bar snacks on a Saturday evening.A reservation is required. The bar is located on the 1st floor of the Social Eating House restaurant.Very subdued lighting which is not the best. The cocktail menu was Disney Film themed. The ambience was good with background music. The service was good.

Nice place, a little pricey and boring food.

We made a reservation for dinner via the website however it was a bit unclear and accidentally reserved the Bar upstairs. Having told them our mistake the hostess was extremely unhelpful in accommodating us despite the fact that there were multiple tables open. We ended up going to the bar for a drink and reserving a table for the restaurant in 30 minutes so we ended up eating at the restaurant any ways.Despite this the food was pretty good and we were able enjoy the meal. The next morning however it bugged me enough to write my first ever negative review of a restaurant.

Wow, great combination of low key, relaxed setting and fine dining. The beetroot etc appetizer was amazing, with English mustard zing. See photo, it looked great too. Another pic of cauliflower main. We ate the monkfish in a truly delightful sauce, soaked up commendable by the triple cooked chunky chips side. A highlight meal.

The food was absolutely amazing. The service was superb. The creativity with the carrots and beetroot, tells you a bit about the chefs journey. My only negative experience was eating food in a VERY warm room. It was pretty uncomfortable and decided not to have dessert or enjoy more drinks because of this. People eat less when they are hot?please consider this for future drinkers and providing a better overall experience. .

Really disappointed with the experience we had for Valentine's Day here. First off, I'm not here to blame the servers who were there that night. They were massively understaffed with around what looked to be only 3 people to serve a packed restaurant. They were polite, apologetic and clearly out of their depth that night. This feels more like mismanagement higher up.We waited over half an hour to even be served bread initially which came out burnt, and well over an hour before we even got our starters. The couple next to us said they had been there almost 3 hours and were only just finishing their mains. When their desserts turned up, the ice cream was already melted on the plate...Considering this is a highly rated Michelin Guide restaurant, with the price tag that comes with it, we had anything but a fine dining experience. If there had been an adequate number of staff members instead of upper management skimping on one of the busiest evenings of the year for dining, this could've been a great experience. But alas, that did not happen.Instead, we decided to leave after our starters as there was no way we were going to finish before 12am. The server comped our starters, with us paying for only the wine plus the 12.5% service charge, which was appreciated. We spent the rest of the night hunched over a table in McDonalds at 11pm with my partner wearing a formal dress and me in a suit, the juxtaposition was quite funny. My partner travelled 2 hours into London for some McDonalds fries... On the plus side, at least we received our order within 10 minutes...

Had some tasty food here but a couple of bits let it down so left feeling a bit underwhelmed. We went for lunch on a Thursday. It wasn?t particularly busy so would expect great service, yet they were fairly sporadic and not the friendliest. The other odd thing was portion sizes. Starters were all tiny. I had scallop which was a really tasty dish. For main, I had sea bream (excellently cooked) which was a really generous portion, but served on about a spoonful of the potatoes and a finger sized carrot or two. It just wasn?t enough to pair with the fish. Can?t fault the food quality but wouldn?t race back for the reasons mentioned above.

Attended a work Christmas party here and had the festive menu. All of the food was well balanced, tasty, and cooked perfectly. The service seemed a tiny bit clunky and bumping into waiters on stairs when going to the toilet. You?ll remember having a nice food in a slightly too loud restaurant but nothing stood out for me unlike other menus for the same price.

Great food and experimenting food combinations at fair prices. Spent a lovely evening there. We had deer saddle with a chocolate sauce - tasted great

Don?t eat out in London much and went for the Menu Fixe as we were early. Cocktail option was not wise as it then accompanied the starter at rapid pace. We went for the £15 supplement on the steak as the Cumbrian rib eye sounded amazing. It was too salty and when we were asked by the lovely waitress my wife told her and she brought over the manager. He insisted on getting another one which was good and I finished my main course alone and wife then had hers after. Desert was nice. The worse part was how we were told it was not the steak but us, and the salty glaze was a speciality. Both of us had steak and both felt the same and we do like our rib eye. Just disappointing and no eye contact at end even though we tried not to make a fuss.

My friend chose this restaurant for a pre-Christmas dinner - despite the fact it has one of those annoying deposit taking terms where if you need to cancel within 48 hours you have to pay £40 per person. Also, their phone lines are not open weekdays so you basically can?t cancel! My friends had booked the pig pub upstairs for pre-dinner drinks but decided not to stay upstairs as it was super dark and very loud. As they arrived first at the restaurant downstairs, they were shown to a round booth in a dark corner with a small circular table. They asked if it would be possible to switch as the table was very small for four and one person had no back support because of the way it was constructed. The front of house seemed disgruntled but did move them. Once we were all seated we asked for a couple of glasses of Prosecco and were told that they didn?t have any Prosecco as they had run out. The only alternative was to have champagne which was double the price or we could just have wine. Really poor show considering it was the week before Christmas with festive menus et al and there are supermarkets which sell Prosecco all around?. The set menu was fine - not many choices but the food quality overall was very good and we had a lovely waitress. The only food related issue was the sirloin steak which had lovely flavour and the sauce was delicious but loads of gristle we had to keep spitting out. You really would not expect this in this kind of restaurant. Our booking was quite early so when we arrived the atmosphere was good but as it filled up it got louder and louder and we were sitting by a big group who were talking very loudly and it became impossible to talk to our friends or hear what they were saying. I mentioned this to the manager who said something like ?what am I supposed to do about it? in a very offhand manner and I also mentioned I was disappointed about the Prosecco and the steak. He basically had a very dismissive attitude like he couldn?t care so I went back to my table and re countered the conversation to my friends. He was clearly listening and came over, interrupting me to tell us all how wonderful he is and how everyone loves him and what I had told them was rubbish (he clearly hadn?t heard exactly what I said and assumed I had said something else). It was all terribly childish, unprofessional and extremely rude. Needless to say we will not be back.

I?d steer clear of this place. Went here with my partner this evening and ordered the lamb saddle for £38. The portion size was behind a joke. Two tiny pieces of lamb which were just slightly bigger than a two pound coin, a shred of some cabbage, and some blobs of sauce on the side. Never in my life have I been served such a pathetic excuse for a main course. I had half a mind to send it back and get something else, but my partner convinced me to not make a fuss, however we will not be returning. We had bottled water (no alcohol or even soft drinks) shared a snack (not even a starter, a *snack*,) and had one main each and the bill was over £100. Even for london that takes the piss. Steer clear.
