Excellent expert, thoroughly professional. Lovely staff and every step of the eye procedure I had was explained clearly. So from needing varifocals and the beginning of cataracts, I can see clearly long and short distance. No more glasses for reading and grateful not to have gone down the varifocals route as I was sure living in London and in my seventies I would end up toppling down escalators.
The whole procedure was very straightforward and I am delighted with the result.

Not good, costumer service very poor. Also 3 months after lens replacement surgery I had to go and see with some issues with my vision they charge me £100 one hundred pounds for the appointment honestly it's not how to treat costumers.

Arrived for my 13:55 appointment today at 22 Harley St.
It had been cancelled without any notification. The fact I had a confirmation email made no difference to the member of staffs attitude.
I was told they did not have my bank details, when I had given them over the phone when I made the appointment . It's not possible to make a first time consultation without giving bank details. Someone who works for this company has my bank details.
No regard whatsoever for my disability or wasted time travelling across London.
Very unhappy about the whole experience.

Very poor experience, contradictory information and results do not meet expectations. Be very careful about the surgery you opt for, especially when you see multiple different people in consultations who have differing opinions. Personally I now regret the surgery and I wouldn?t have paid £6.5k in retrospect. Many of the consultations treat you like a conveyor belt, where it feels like that they have seen so many people you?re just another number. 95% of people get the results they expect, when you?re in the 5% well, the getting it right only goes so far before it seems like you have to start paying again, or you?re told ?the lenses you picked were never going to let you read again?, and no I didn?t pick the cheapest options.

I had my Lasik iDesign surgery at Harley Street and I couldn't have asked for a better team to perform my surgery.
Shaltiez M. was the nurse who prepared me for surgery and he did an amazing job putting my nerves at ease and talking me through what he was doing.
Mehul D. was my surgeon and he was very calm, knowledgeable and patient. I was struggling with keeping my eye open and he worked with me to get me through the surgery successfully.
Michael C. was the second nurse that was involved with the surgery and he was absolutely lovely too. He counted me down every time I needed to stay still which really really helped. He was very sweet and helped me through the surgery too.
Overall the surgery went very smooth and the aftercare so far (4 days) has been wonderful - I would definitely recommend them!

The actual stuff with my eyes was all good. But for two separate appointments I was left waiting 40 minutes or more beyond the scheduled time.

Mislead at initial consultation with pushy sales techniques. Issues on the day of surgery with forms not having been given to me in advance to have my GP sign; had to get a taxi to a different location for surgery, then they tried to sell me a different more expensive lens which I could not afford and basically did a u turn on what they had said in the initial consultation. I had refractive lens surgery that day. Suffered with excessive inflammation followed by fluid behind the retina. Keep getting robbed off, no one replies to my phone calls or emails. No clear plan to rectify the situation. 2 months on I still can't work as I can't see the computer. Now they have my money, they couldn't care less that I can't see properly. Absolutely regret having this surgery and wouldn't recommend.

I am not happy with the results so far, I have crescents round my vision it feels like I have glasses on even though I don't. I am suffering with dry eyes an issue I have never had. The staff are very friendly and have reassured me that the crescents will go in time I am not sure it has been six weeks and two days they are just as strong as day one. This system was not mentioned before the surgery at all.

Im very glad I went ahead with lens replacement. Optical express have been very thorough with information and the procedure was pain free and very professional and I felt safe in their hands.
I'm so happy to not have the need for glasses and I love how I can see and read a book without them. Colours are so vivid and clear. So lovely.
Im a month in now and going great. Im still getting used to the brightness but I know that I'll get used to it and it will be less obvious. Night driving is hard still (halos around lights) but again I will get used to it. I don't drive much at night anyway.
I definitely recommend optical express harley st.

I had my lens replacement surgery a month ago and whilst 24 hours later, I had excellent results, since things have deteriorated to a point where my vision is MUCH worse than before the surgery.
Anyone with a scintilla of sympathy could try to understand the distress that this can cause, imagine the procedure that was supposedly to allay all your vision issues is the thing that is making it deteriorate.
Having brought this to the attention of Optical Express, I have been having to go back to the clinics at couple of times a week.
The latest vision to Harley street after a major deterioration has been the worst experience to date.
I was already in a state of misery and suffering wondering whether I would my vision get back to just my original state before surgery.
I was then seen by an ?professional? who was at best curt and better described as rude, with zero bedside manner and even less empathy for my situation.
These issues may be every day occurrences to her but to me they are very huge issues which are rendering my the question of my sight.
I asked for some standard glasses or contact lenses for an interim period so that I could at least get around and drive but she went on to argue that this wasn?t possible as my vision wasn?t stable. This wasn?t really a solution in my opinion but the way the message was relayed left much to be desired.
Ultimately, I went away extremely upset and more distressed than when I went in, when potentially a kind word could have at least placated my heightened anxiety.
There are 2 stars because the staff that did my scans were very kind, patient and friendly.
All this is on top of admin issues from day one which haven?t got any better either? maybe time for 1 star review to be shared next time.

I had LASEK eye surgery and my sister had LASIK, both done by the amazing Dr. Ayoubi at Optical Express. We?re so happy with our results and incredibly grateful to have had such a skilled and kind surgeon. Dr. Ayoubi made us feel calm and reassured throughout the process, especially when we were nervous ? his professionalism and care really stood out.
The whole team was fantastic as well, from the warm welcome at the start to the lady who spoke to me before meeting the surgeon ? she was so kind and helpful. Thank you to everyone at Optical Express for making our experience smooth and positive!
