Had a damaged £10 note and the lady was able to change it, quick and helpful.

Dear Lloyds Bank. I?m astonished you allow your staff to eat visibly at the counter. I?m astonished at the standards of bank clerks nowadays!!! It?s was at about just after 4pm on 30/04/25 when the branch had closed but the bank clerk is clearly seen munching away on a sandwich.
I wish I?d taken a video but Lloyds, it will be clearly evident on your CCTV. I?m astonished you allow this behaviour as it shows just how much banks and their branches, what?s left of them have degraded, show no integrity and are basically irrelevant. I think I?d rather communicate with a robot online.

Unauthorized charge and lack of action on fraud ? Lloyds refuses to refund £500 for fraud and ignores the issue.
My partner was recently a victim of a serious banking issue with Lloyds. She topped up her Oyster Card at Old Street Station for £20, which was correctly processed as a TfL charge. However, shortly after, an unauthorized £500 ATM withdrawal appeared on her account from Liverpool Street Station ? a place she was never at. It would have been physically impossible to travel between these locations in just 2 minutes.
She is not the only victim ? at that exact moment, multiple people at the same station experienced similar fraudulent transactions. Some lost £800, others almost had their accounts emptied, and one person was even charged despite not having enough funds available.
What?s even worse? Another bank detected this exact transaction as fraud and blocked it for their customer, yet Lloyds failed to do the same and is now refusing to acknowledge the issue.
At first, Lloyds accepted the dispute and refunded the money, but later reversed the decision and took the £500 back without any proper explanation. This is either negligence or a deliberate attempt to avoid responsibility.
If Lloyds failed to detect this clear fraud case, how many other customers are at risk of losing money without protection?
Because of this situation, we will be closing our accounts with Lloyds and strongly advise others to reconsider banking with them.
We have reported this case to Financial Ombudsman Service and Action Fraud, and we urge anyone else affected to do the same.
? If you have used your card at Old Street Station, check your account immediately and report any suspicious transactions. If you have experienced something similar, file a complaint with Financial Ombudsman Service and Action Fraud.
@TfL @FinancialOmbudsman @actionfrauduk ? this needs urgent investigation.

TL;DR
Don?t use this branch, use the one on Oxford street (about 12min walk) for better service and efficiency.
This branch is hopeless, staff showed bad attitudes and kept the customer in front of me waiting for over 15min. Ended up going to the branch on Oxford street, about 12min walk, service there is way more efficient, got my application done in 3min.

This bank is terrible awful, they don?t treat people well and specially students. The staff is rude and not even welcoming people, the cashiers were arguing with customers in a very bad manner. Please just choose another bank, I?ll do.

Bank wasn't open at 10 . Apparently the manager had to be replaced and the other manager was "on his way" 30th December 24. The replacement staff were also waiting and a queue of customers too. Is this a way to run a bank ? I was only there as I had been told their cash machine man wasn't there on the previous Friday to check their cash point machine for the other half of a £20 note that it had faultily dispensed. Dreadful service

Absolutely horrendous customer service. Understand they were short-staffed, so I waited in line patiently. But did not expect the few staff who were working to be so ignorant and unhelpful. Did not give me a single piece of advice on my application, and at the end just told me they cannot do anything about it. Staff were unknowledgeable and unaccommodating. Do not visit unless you want your time wasted. Just use another bank, especially for international students in London. Lloyd's is probably the worst choice you can opt for

Be prepared to wait a long, long time. This branch is severely understaffed.

Apparently they?re open until 4pm but closing everything down 45min before. Unfriendly customer service, lady at the counter is extremely rude.

Extremely terrible experience. Been here 3 times and solved 0 of my problems. I haven?t received my activation code in a month and came to this branch to see if there was anything they could do about it. I was greeted with a very impatient staff who had apparently already sent away many people in line in front of me who came here asking about missing activation codes. They said there was nothing they could do about problems related to online banking and gave me a number to call. I called the number and they said there was nothing they could do either and asked me to wait or go to a branch. But I?ve waited for a month already and the staff at the branch literally told me they couldn?t do anything. As of today, I still don?t have my activation code and still can?t use online banking. I?m sure I?m not the only one having problems with activation codes as there were many in line who were also missing activation codes. Lloyds really needs to pay attention to this problem as they?re loosing a lot of customers due to disorganized management and poor staffing. Strongly recommend people, especially international students, who are planning to open a bank account to try HSBC as they are much quicker and their staff are much nicer.

Staff got no time to understand customers. They just find excuses to chase people away

If I could give 0 stars I would. As a tourist having problems, this bank had the worst customer service I have ever seen. Did not care.
If I was the manager I would fire the girl who works there.
