The Union Tavern ? Craft Beer, Canal Views, and Comfort Food Done Right Tucked away on Woodfield Road, The Union Tavern is a hidden gem perched beside the Grand Union Canal. With its industrial-chic interior, warm lighting, and spacious terrace overlooking the water, it?s the kind of place that feels both laid-back and quietly stylish.
Food & Flavour: The menu is a thoughtful blend of British pub classics and modern gastropub fare. Highlights include:
Spatchcock chicken with parmentier potatoes and creamy mushroom sauce ? rich and satisfying
Pan-seared gnocchi with sundried tomatoes, wild rocket, and feta crumble ? light yet indulgent
Union beef burger ? generous, juicy, and served with hand-cut chips
Sticky Toffee Pudding ? a must-try dessert, warm and comforting
Drinks: An impressive selection of craft beers from names like Beavertown, Siren, and Kernel. There?s also wine, cocktails, and quality coffee for slower afternoons.

On a city break and staying in the area and this was my local for 3 days.
Absolutely brilliant pub with amazing food and the most perfect location beside the canal.
Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and if you have the chance of a Sunday lunch please do have it because it was delicious.
Excellent choice of beers and wine of offer .
It can get busy because it's such a good pub but don't let that put you off because you will always find a table after a short wait

they run out of the local tap beer which was the most interesting option and the alternative lager was also finished and so waited a little to change the keg. Not an issue but, the overpriced Chardonnay by the glass tasted stale and was andundrinkable. Total waste of money and time. Otherwise it's a lovely spot. Maybe we were just unlucky this time.

Really lovely pub with an outside space right on the canal. Also a really lovely bright inside space too. Perfect for summer days. Not bad prices too

Great pub by the canal with amazing beer garden, but price of the beer is like in Central London (£7+) or even higher, which is little bit too much

Came here with friends on a Monday night. Atmosphere and decor is really nice, had a good selection of drinks available. Loved sitting by the canal on a summer evening, and I?m sure it would also be lovely in the winter too as they have heaters.
We did order some nibbles for the table which unfortunately took 30+ minutes to arrive. When they did arrive, they weren?t the best. The pork skewers were dry and overall I wouldn?t order food here again as price to quality ratio just doesn?t cut it. Drinks are also pretty expensive, I think my (Gordon?s!!) gin tonic was £16 which is kinda crazy even for London.
They desperately need to clean the downstairs toilets, I believe they?re gender neutral as they didn?t say who it?s for on the door but they were filthy when I went and I ended up just going upstairs as I couldn?t bear the smell.

Staff is fabulous, the quiz is fun too and the terrace shines in the summer. The food is overpriced for what it delivers but it's all one mold for pubs managed by large pub companies, isn't it? Expensive menu but lots of frozen and pre-made stuff. Nothing that brings you to eat there, you eat there if you have no choice. I wish they offered better flavour for the price. Not their fault of course, just the people who own/manage them.

It took a long time to get the food, - and 18.50 for the small burger and the cips(fries) and the pickles. No further comments....

The beer garden is a lovely warm spot on a sunny day, quiet enough despite being in a busy area.
Unfortunately they sell 'pizza' on the menu but it doesn't come with cheese which was somewhat disappointing.
