£3.49 for a bottle of Lucozade. Shameless rip-off merchants. WH Smith would be turning in his grave knowing what this once proud British institution has become.

Extremely rude female security guard. Unfriendly staff. I asked when they're getting a new magazine in but they rolled their eyes and couldn't be less interested in helping. I think the store manager needs to re-train staff. They don't really like working there. AVOID

Four Asahi, over twenty two quid and it was four for three? ?

Prices are just ridiculous. I was only able to find one drink under £3, only chance of getting anything cheaper is if it?s on offer. Coke and Pepsi cost £3.89. Pair £6.50 for 2 packets of crisps and a water which is just obscene. Unfriendly staff and very hot.

Went into this store while waiting for the train. Had my 13yo and 10yo with me. My kids have been kicked out of this store before because they didn?t have an adult so I made sure I was with them. However the security lady watched us like a hawk. Like you can?t touch a thing. I was at the end of an isle where my kid was 3 metres away. She pounced on my 10yo girl, got right up behind her and was talking quietly and taking the item she had picked up out of her hand. I stepped close and asked ?what did you just say to her?? She said to me ?she was putting those pens in her pocket?. I said to her ?no, you?ve got my kid wrong there, she would t do that!? My kid was shocked and worried so she did t defend herself with an adult telling her what she was doing. So I told the security lady that she assumes that everyone is guilty and a thief, that you can?t look at a thing on this shop! I even felt her watching me. We are white- I do t know what colour those are that are saying it was their skin colour. She walked away shaking her head at ME, and looking with a disbelieving eye! I will NOT go in this shop again. Everyone is a criminal. I hate the way they make you feel.

Every time I go into the store, I am always being followed and watched by the flipping female security guard. I want to be able to take my time and browse for specific magazines.
One time I spent £20 on home magazines, I thought to myself let me print my receipt, as I did not want to purchase a bag to carry the magazines (I knew she was again watching from a distance) 5 seconds after leaving she chased after me and asked if I paid for them. I flashed the receipt in her face.
Figure it out either do not have self service checkouts and service customers or give free bags or just do both!!!
It happened again so I went to the other store in the parade. - that?s another interesting encounter.
Absolutely stressful!!!! Who is hiring the staff.!!

By far, this is the worst WHSmith train station store. I have read the previous reviews of previous customers and we all have the same horrible experience. I wouldn't even bother to give it a star but unfortunately, there was no option for none.
The security guard seems to think all the customers who enter this store are out to shoplift, following them around, literally behind my back.
I asked one staff member what was included in the meal deal, as the drinks were on a buy 1, get 1 half-price offer, and he went mental. He aggressively told me in a loud voice that it was the last time he would tell me about the meal deal (ah hello, it was the first time I asked), and said why do I keep coming back to the store when I am not buying anything. Furthermore, he "advised" me to go to Tesco Express across the road to shop. That was a first for me as I didn't know that going into any store required me to buy something. I responded that I did purchase something and he had the audacity to challenge me to "SHOW" him what I bought. Extremely rude staff member. It was good that I got the receipt, otherwise, I shudder to think of these staff members accusing me of shoplifting or worse. The supervisor had to intervene.
Most of the comments about this store imply selective racism in the way they treat customers and I could not agree more. There is no place for a staff member in any establishment who can disrespect a customer based on gender, skin colour, and race.
For the attention of WHSmith management, you need to be better in selecting staff members who know how to respect customers and not treat them as thieves. Needless to say, I will NEVER come back to this store again and will not recommend this store to even my worst enemy.

I commute in for work, usually travelling into London every 2 weeks, or I'm in London for social events monthly.
The security guards in here LOOOOOOVE to just follow you around. Not directly follow behind, but he'll always be watching me across an aisle sand when I move to another aisle, he'll bloody well turn and continue watching. I hate it.
Staff will ignore you when there's a genuine issue though like the self service machines not working. But damn, their security guard HONES in on you. For a while I thought it was just me, and maybe I stick out more because I'm tall or maybe I looks suspicious because check products before I purchase. But seeing all of the other reviews it's clear to me now this is happening because of my skin colour. If loads of people are saying the same thing, it sounds like a hint that there's something wrong here.
Truly I avoid WHSmith when I can, but sometimes it's the only shop open with the things I need (like cables or tissues) or the closest one to my platform in a rush.

Disgusting. I just came in to buy a drink while waiting for my train, and the security guard literally chased me around the store, stopping right behind me. It was so obvious that I turned and asked him if he had a problem with me. He walked away without saying a word. Please address the racism in your store?this is unacceptable. ?

Joke of a shop. Broken fridges. Meal deal you can't figure out because some sandwiches count and some don't and the labels are 1cm2. I hope wh smiths finally goes out of business soon.

Actually, I went to Liverpool Street station WH Smith today to buy a one power bank. and I had a excellent conversation with their team member. I had a very good experience here. Their staff are very friendly. Specially I would like to mention the guy named arka. He served me very well. I am very happy with his friendly behaviour. Really appreciate it.
Thank you for nice service

None of the fridges keep anything cold - all the drinks come out as if they've been warmed up
