A calming, fun & professional experience with excellent results.
Antonia was my colour technician for the day and after a lengthy discussion and patch test a few weeks earlier I arrived at the salon and greeted with smiles and beverages. I was having a Balyage to incorporate some uplifting blonde streaks into my naturally grey locks and I can promise you it has taken decades off me! Antonia really, really listened to what I wanted, and not afraid to make suggestions & collaborate.
She was friendly, knowledgeable & definitely worthy of the ?master colourist? title if not more. I will 100% be going back to see her even though she did such a beautiful job it will take many months before a return trip is required.
The salon itself is probably the most beautiful one I have ever been to in the UK, and all the staff are friendly and helpful and make you feel very welcome, it?s incredibly relaxing. A very special mention to the fully reclining shampoo chairs.
And I mean fully reclining, you are lying completely flat whilst having a wonderful hair wash and massage This is by far most comfortable experience I have ever had snd put me at ease, given the accident I had at a previous salon where they crushed my neck and vertebrae during a wash. When will salons pick up on this idea that it is much more comfortable and better for your neck, and general overall comfort and health and safety to have a fully reclining chair?
Anyway, my hair looks fab. Feels fab. And I am so happy. It is, however, eye wateringly expensive, so it?s a good thing my hair will last a year as it will take me that long to save up!
You get what you pay for though! Thanks to everyone at the Salon. Steph

Fantastic experience at Vakrat today - it was the best haircut I?ve had in a very long time. Dror is very talented and really took the time to understand my needs - I will be returning. Would highly recommend!

Amazing salon , great place to do your hair cut, people who working here nice and friendly ,always offer coffee or water to make you feel comfortable, specially Dominic, he did my hair few times and never disappointed me. Always I leave salon so happy.Here they do a lot more services and treatments . The best place in Hampstead

Recently had the pleasure of visiting Vakrat for a men?s hair cut. Had my cut by none other than James Galvin himself, yes THE James Galvin of Hairdresser royalty!! Hands down the best cut I?ve had in a long, long time? perfect in every way? James is a legend and you can see why.
The salon itself is so beautiful, an old bank down the hill from Hampstead station, which Vakrat has expertly preserved its original character.
A beautiful space to get pampered and have your hair cut.

Vakrat is the most beautiful salon with the most incredible team!
I?ve been going to James Galvin for 10+ years and couldn?t recommend him more. Not only is he a delight to see, but he?s also the most talented hairdresser - he?s transformed my hair from dry and damaged with great haircuts and expert advice for out of the salon too. He knows what looks good, he lives and breathes hair and I trust his judgement implicitly.
To add to the mix, the hair wash/head massages at Vakrat are by far the best I?ve ever had.
It?s rare to go to a hair salon that feels calm, but the Vakrat experience is an all round delight and I couldn?t recommend visiting the salon and putting your hair in James? hands more!

Literally follow Gil Martins wherever he?s worked throughout the years because he is simply the best. Not to mention an incredible colourist. I first discovered him 8 years ago when a friend recommended I see him after traumatic salon trip(s) leaving my hair stripy ?blonde?. Once I found him I never looked back!! I am always so so happy with my hair- the cut and colour is always perfect. I feel like he listens and executes to precision. Nothing comes out ?unexpected? and my hair always turns out better than I?d imagined. Honestly he?s the very very best.

I have used Gils Martin at Vakrat for years and followed him here from a previous salon. He's just incredible. He's technique and his kindness make you feel world class when you're in his chair. The salon is stunning too and a real treat to visit.

I had a cut and a curly blow dry today and I am so happy with the result. Zivile was the loveliest stylist, she made sure I liked the haircut and the blow dry was flawless. Couldn?t recommend enough
