I used Trident for 10 years. Their London office is in the non descript building pictured. They are so discreet they don?t have their name on a door plaque. This office was very prompt and helpful in helping me set up my BVI co. Occasionally, when I needed to file resolutions they attended to that promptly. Their BVI office was also prompt in sending me copies of invoices and resolving the occasional accounting question.Trident?s compliance officer in London, Anthony Beukes, is a standout. Truly excellent, prompt service and very knowledgeable about new regulations requiring offshore co?s owning UK property to register with Companies House. However, it was like pulling teeth to get information about liquidating a BVI co. I was given the names of Trident employees in the BVI to get that information from. Despite months of emailing, they never responded and my Trident London contact eventually did on their behalf. However, upon submitting the requisite information to my London contact, I was told that Trident?s Cyprus office now handled such matters and was requested to deal with them.Cyprus (Stavros Papademetriou) acknowledged my emails, but despite having advised him that I urgently needed to liquidate my co., he didn?t respond to follow up requests for 7 weeks. I called and only then did he commence working on this and at a pace that put my year end liquidation at risk. Fortunately, while he was on Christmas leave, Trident?s Administrator, Despo Kyriacou, pushed this past the finish line in time. Not before Trident gave me a shock two days before Christmas when they advised me at the last minute that I needed to put an ad in the London Gazette re these liquidation proceedings before the BVI liquidator could proceed. They also said that they couldn?t assist me with placing the London ad (i.e. they place the adverts in the BVI only).I got the impression that Trident didn?t have a good handle on the BVI?s requirements in this regard. As I say, they got it done in time for which I?m grateful, but it was an unnecessarily stressful and drawn out experience. So be aware that you?ll have to do lots of follow up and prodding if you engage Trident for this service.Having said that, prices are reasonable compared to what a BVI or London law firm would charge.
