Absolutely disgusting experience at Travelodge Farringdon. The website shows a clean, modern hotel ? the reality is filthy carpets and furniture covered in stains, a dirty bathroom, and a dusty, unhygienic bedroom. I suffer from severe asthma and a dust allergy, and within minutes of entering the room my symptoms flared up. I coughed all night and got no sleep because of the dirt and dust.
I had no choice but to leave after one night and pay £105 for a new train ticket home. I also left with numerous bites on my legs, presumably from the bed.
When I went to reception to request a refund for the night I wasn?t staying, the manager (Vesela) and shift manager (Himayun) refused, hiding behind the excuse that it was a ?saver rate.? Paying £130 per night for a room in this state is unacceptable ? saver rate or not.
This hotel is nothing like what?s advertised online. If they showed the reality, nobody would book here. Avoid this place at all costs.
I have emailed the CEO to show her what this place is like. I want a full refund.

So location is super good, less than 15 mins walk to both angel and King?s Cross. Staff were fantastic, so polite and welcoming, absolutely cannot fault the lovely staff. Air con was great. But unfortunately the rooms absolutely let it down and they were so run down and dirty. There was thick mould all along the bath, red stains all around the carpet near the bin, everything inside the room was so run down. It just felt so dirty! Came away with big bites along my leg too. I get paying for simple, I have no issue with simple and stripped back, but I?m still paying for a nice clean room to sleep in which this wasn?t at all

Average hotel in the congestion zone. Rooms and bathrooms are not very clean.

Paid forr early check in, went to our room and it was still occupied...Back down to reception, 10 minute wait, gave us another room, got up to floor 5, keys didn't work, back down to reception, another 10 minute wait, finally got the keys, back up to floor 5. A lot of hassle after a 3 hour train journey. OK for a basic room and short notice getaway.

Make sure you realise this hotel is in the congestion zone. It was not the best travelodge we have stayed but just average. I think they could do with better hygiene standards in their rooms.

Outdated hotel. Small bathroom, dirty shower curtain, horrible bathroom floor. Rooms felt like a prison cell / bedsit. Too hot with air con on 'energy saving' throughout hotel so would not come on. Breakfast awful. Rock hard bacon, powdered eggs, stale pancakes. Would not return. £24 parking... Expensive stay.

Excellent location around 15 minutes from Farringdon station as well as a short tube journey into central.
Lots of places to eat minutes away from the hotel. Paid for the inclusive buffet which was quite standard but you get what you pay for so no complaints.
The room was very nice and clean, with comfortable beds, quite happy with it for the price, especially with it being the summer holidays + middle of August.
My only annoyance was the keycards, I followed the instructions on how to use it carefully and it takes a few tries each time for it to work and open the door. Also, there was a time when the keycard stopped working completely which was a bit of a faff, but it got sorted out fairly quickly.

The room is spacious enough, bathroom is adequate, toilet, shower, sink. Staff are friendly and welcoming. About 20 min walk from King's Cross.

Good budget hotel in an excellent central London location. About 10 minutes walk from King's Cross and Farringdon stations. Rooms are basic but suffice for a night or two. Good breakfast.

Location is not near tube station.
Everything is the best except connectivity.
Staff is very cooperative.

Our trip was a poor experience. Hotel corridors had a horrific smell to them, room air con did not work properly, service at the bar was non existent at 10pm despite being told it would be open until 4am. Reception didn?t seem to care when I told them I wasn?t satisfied at checkout. Won?t be hurrying back.
