Only went as the sainsbury was shut. Too expensive, expected a little markup for being convenient but double the price of what I expected. Plus they put a minimum of £3 to use a card.

The most rudest and miserable people I have ever came across in a shop!!They don?t greet you. They literally follow you as if you are a thief. Everything is super expensive!! Once i was about to buy a cream and vanilla soda( the one you can find for 49p in any off-licence) and the guy ask me 1.80£ for it!! When I questioned he said that it was an American soda so I?ve just answered: why did the can took a taxi to come in London?!?Neither to say I didn?t buy it and I would never return to this shop and I?ll make sure nobody else willShame.

Daylight Robbery , avoid this shopI bought a bunch of bananas (around 11 bananas) from this shop on Friday (22/6/18). The guy named as 'Raj' (according to name mentioned on the receipt) charged me for these 11 bananas for £11. I asked ?why is it so expensive?. And he replied 'it's a special banana'. So, I told him 'I cannot take it'. And he said 'No, you cannot as its cut from the stalk and for hygiene reason'. So, I replied him ' I haven't even left the shop yet, how can it be hygiene reason?? And he kept insisted that I have to pay and take 11 bananas with £11. As I don't want to argue with him, I paid £11 and took these 11 bananas. I took the receipt and took the pictures of bananas and the receipt as a proof. This is a 'DAYLIGHT ROBBERY'. There is no price mentioned or displayed for these bananas. True that I didn?t ask the price, however, how come it be 11 bananas for £11!!!I went back to St George?s hospital as my partner had the surgery and was staying in a hospital for few days. Then, the nurses saw a bunch of bananas that I bought, and I explained the situation. They were so shocked and surprised the price and aggred that I?ve been robbed daylight by this ?Toothing supermarket? in front of Toothing broadway bus stop, next to Dosa n chutney restaurant and opposite to Sainsbury supermarket. The surprising thing is one of the nurses mentioned this shop also charged unbelievable and impossible price to another patient who was in the hospital at that time. This need to be STOPPED as this breaking the customer rights and robbing people in daylights! I really hope that the related authorities read my review and take the action to stop this shop from Daylight robbing customers!!!Thanks for reading my review.Zhi LuoSent from my iPad

I 'found' this over the weekend and I loved it, although I am reliably informed by my friend who used to live in Tooting (5 or so years ago) that it has changed. It does have a very Brixton Village feel to it that I imagine comes with the gentrification and higher rents in the area. There are some really great coffee and burger places inside as well as the usual fabric places, there is even a little pet store that sells fish and birds. There is the standard food stalls and fruit and veg places, always good to buy local produce and from small businesses. Best thing I found was this little shop that sells loads of comics and paints them on shoes and coaster and clocks, great place to pick up a gift or treat yourself (I mean the shoes were scary high heels but amazing). The shops I browsed in the staff were really friendly, happy to answer questions and let me wander through without buying. The market is also has a bar at one end, a place i definitely want to check out next time. My only regret is I wandered through the market after lunch and finishing my shopping so this time I just browsed.

This has been around for years. You can buy dresses to fresh fish a budgie to shoes. The fish and meat stalls have been there for over 30 years

Prefer buying fish, meat, fruits and vegetables from the market rather than some supermarkets where most things had been frozen. I am happy there is still markets like this one. They remind me my childhood when all the food was quality. Recommended market! Best point about the markets: everything there is much cheaper than anywhere else!
