I was attending a conference near Chancery Lane when the strap on my sandal broke leaving me hobbling around London and fearful of arriving late. No shoe shops in sight (apart from a very expensive men?s shoe store). I saw Timpsons in the distance and headed there. The man in the store (wish I had asked his name as he was so amazing) calmly and quickly worked his magic with some glue and charged me nothing suggesting i returned for a more permanent fix next week. His customer service, kindness and prompt repair enabled me to get to the conference on time and the strap has held out. Lovely to experience such wonderful customer service

Avoid if you have an engraving job. Husband took our daughter's school cup to be engraved and the letters are barely visible and some of them look really poorly done. More importantly, the engraving is not catered and looks absolutely terrible. I am very upset and would have not accepted this job myself had I been collecting it.

The gentleman who runs this branch has looked after shoes and boots for me several times. He has done a marvellous job on every occasion, and brought back to life footwear I feared was past repair. Excellent service every time, and first class work done. Very grateful for the help.
