I love this bakery! Enjoyed a superb Cornish pasty and coffee. Staff were friendly as always. Treated myself to a take out biscuit as well. Highly recommended. It?s very popular so go early to be guaranteed a pasty or sausage roll! :-)

I have very devastating experience today from one of the lady serving today. She wasn?t happy after I placed my order I can see that on her face, also she said something with F word with another colleague. I visited this place many times I liked their taste but today that lady wasn?t happy to serve, the taste was pathetic the way she prepared I have to throw the sandwiches I bought it from this place. Hope I?ll not have this experience again.

Good quality for burgers and bread.
Prices reasonable but the customer service is problematic.
Certain people from your crew are very rude. Same people never exhibited any similar behaviour to locals esp native speakers for the 6 months I was visiting your store (almost twice a week).
I was even told in a totally inappropriate manner that I m actually buying too much too often.
I stopped coming and I d never come back.
I do however appreciate your swift comment.

All the staff here are friendly, they know the bakery and produce well and are ready to assist you at a moment's notice. The Village Bakery has a wide selection of breads and cakes, plus various other hot savouries and more, all cooked to perfection and tasty.
Every time I have visited this bakery it has been busy, which is a testament in itself to the quality of the baked goods available here. While it is busy there are always staff available to serve you quickly.
The bakery is a handy stop-off point if you are on a morning commute as you can pick up breakfast rolls, pastries, soup, tea, coffee etc. The bacon roll I purchased was a perfect start to the day and the pastries made a welcome addition to my lunch. The pastry I had was tasty and I thought better quality than one I got at another high street chain.
The bakery is conveniently located on the main high street. If you have a vehicle there is plenty of on-street parking (metered and machines nearby) available and while the high street can get busy you should not have a problem finding a space nearby.
I would definitely recommend this bakery if you are in the area. I look forward to visiting again, many more times.
