We?ve unfortunately had to move away from using this company for our seafood orders. For years they provided excellent quality for our stall, but ever since they stopped holding live stock in Hackney, the standard just hasn?t been the same. It?s a real shame, as they were once our go-to supplier. I am guessing the longer transport time is causing some sort of issue.

We have reluctantly decided to stop using these guys for our seafood. They used to always supply amazing stock to our Hotel, but since they have stopped housing livestock in Hackney, the stock we have been receiving has definitely not been as good as it was before. Hopefully they can get Hackney up and running again.
For the time being we are using another supplier for Cornish blue lobsters who collects them and houses them in London before delivering them to us in London. We have seen far better quality!

Michael is an artist when it comes to fish. Fantastic class that?s not rushed. Sea of knowledge and techniques. We all felt so welcomed. Highly recommended. Looking forward to level 2 class and making lots of seafood dishes at home.

Went to the seafood school and it was a blast. We had a reception of champagne and oysters that we learned to shuck ourselves before getting our aprons on and getting into the nitty gritty of preparing 3 different types of fish. It was tricky getting the first one de-gilled and gutted, but by the the one I felt like a pro! The teacher, Mike, is incredibly knowledgeable and was went into great detail about sourcing, preparation and cooking.
The best part of the experience was the dishes that Mike cooked from the three fishes we prepared. They were simple enough to prepare at home and but made with fresh ingredients and cooked perfectly. The star of the show was the barbecued gurnard with olive gremolata.
Aside from the great meal, I feel way more confident buying and cooking fish than I did before and now cook fish at least once a week. Would highly recommend.

A friend and I attended the fish class and both had a great time. Perfect balance of hands on fish preparation and eating delicious dishes prepared by a very knowledgeable teacher. Mikes passion for responsible sourcing and unfussy, accessible, cooking style really makes this course. And if you can think of a fish related question that he doesn?t know the answer to I would be very surprised!

We had an amazing experience today for my mum 68th birthday.Great service, food was beyond anything we tasted before. The wine recommended was also great,Little favorite for the turbot dish and the langoustine which were both out of this world! A great great moment. It was an impressive experience. Thank you all for the great effort behind each dish.Will recommend and come back !

Beyond incredible. Blown away by the whole experience. We have eaten at most of the top places (fat duck, kitchen table etc) and this was just as good, service probably better, ambience miles ahead and incredible value. (£355 for 2) Such a shame it?s closing in 3 weeks because we would book to come again.

Last night I had the pleasure of experiencing @theseathesea_chefstable in #hackney with Executive Chef @leocarreiraaaA seafood blind tasting menu created using the ingredients of the day from the Chelsea fishmonger. Their no-waste approach to cooking was inspiring; using a vast array of culinary techniques to make use of every part of each ingredient and create something delicious.Each course was introduced with its methods and the thought process behind each component allowing us to truly appreciate each mouthful.The dishes I?m still thinking about are the mackerel with the braised pine nut foam and the Pão de Ló with toasted fennel seed ice cream and caviar!!! The flavour combinations on these had my tastebuds going wild!

Probably one of the best meals I?ve ever had: scientific precision mixed with a complete understanding of what means seafloor sing; nothing is hiding the fish, every dish serves to highlight the qualities of it. And the drinks menu is absolutely perfectly aligned with the menu.A wonderful experience that I cannot wait to repeat. Bravo!

Delicious, delicate & bold food with well thought out wine pairings. The intimacy of the chefs table, together with the great music made this a very memorable evening. The food was superb! Highly recommend.
