Returned for a visit after being away from the area for a long time. Nice venue. Has definitely changed from how I remember it but in a good way. Owner and bar staff were very welcoming and for that I can't thank them enough. Great selection of beers. I hope to go back before I leave to go home to Western Australia.

Visited yesterday for a well-deserved drink after completing almost 12 miles of the Thames Path walk. Received a friendly welcome from the landlady and an extremely decently priced glass of wine! Pub was very quiet on our visit, but we put that down to it not being a game day. Decor was pleasant with plenty of Charlton FC memorabilia etc, The pub seemed to have had refurbishment done as it smelled new and clean! Recommended if you are also doing the Thames path walk, as was a very short distance from Thames Barrier. Sadly didn't check out the food (and sad we missed the beer garden!), but apparently the Sunday roasts are amazing!

Went here on match day. Greeted by happy and friendly bar staff. Quick service considering how busy it was. Perfect. Lovely decor and great food.

Good local pub. Busy on Charlton match days. Quieter otherwise. Staff are great. A few books on a shelf to check out. Charlton pictures on the walls. Pool table available for £1.50 a game. There?s an area to sit outside the front but best is the back garden which is great in summer. Sometimes they do BBQs. TVs for all the sport. Good pub this.
