Great spacious pub with a good selection of beers and solid food. Excellent garden area, parts covered so you can always eat outside if tables available. Service was really good - on our visit, waiter suggested what we?d ordered might be too much food - and he was right. Could easily have let it go? impressed by that ??

The pub was ok (easy to find and get to), the service was normal (waiters were trying to help), food was good but I disliked their local enforced rule to not allow kids inside the pub after 7pm.

We were very disappointed with the food, the roast chicken must have been sitting around for an hour before it got to me, and the stuffing resembled the texture and taste of a floor cloth plus the Yorkshire was rock hard. We also had fish and chips and the chips were sodden in oil and the fish was not great. We did not complain at the time as we were guests and were having a nice early supper.

Very disappointing. Is a lovely pub that I have visited many times however, on our most recent visit, my partner and I came for a date night, and were denied service because we were under 21 (both still over 18 with IDs to prove that). We were more than happy to take our service to the Coach & Horses where we were treated with much more respect by the staff.
