This pub is in Kennington. Our pubs in Paddington seemed stuffy and pricey. This was our first experience in a British pub and feared breaking decorum. Nick was so warm and accommodating. His staff professional and friendly. It's like we were old friends. The portions were large and simply delicious. It was 48th anniversary and he recognized it. We will tell our children and grandchildren to come here.

This pub has improved incredibly since I was last there, 5 years ago. Super friendly, chatty staff who make you feel welcome. Great food. Awesome cider. Highly recommended

Very quiet Saturday lunchtime. Barman very friendly. Menu has nice variety. Food tasty and competitively priced.

We enjoyed an amazing Sunday roast at the Old Red Lion! The food was stunning, the staff were lovely, the place was beautiful and full of charm, and the music was great. It's a great place to enjoy!

We?ve not been to Kennington before and wanted somewhere to catch up with family and enjoy good food and beer. Got both here, plus a warm atmosphere, great service and friendly staff. Would definitely come again next time we visit.

Everyone in my party gave me dirty looks as we arrived because it wasn't a touristy spot. I walked in worried I was going to be apologizing all night as the menu was a little out of their taste. The staff was pleasant and helpful and the food was fantastic. The table raved about the starters and mains! Definitely get the korean chicken appetizer, that smelled amazing as it hit the table and tasted even better. The gnocchi, the chicken and leek pie, the sirloin all hit. The kids even devoured their cheeseburgers. Grateful to the Lion for helping me save face, but my party would recommend to anyone else going forward!

Great local pub with a classic indoor pub and a fun outside. The drinks were great and reasonable and the food was awesome. The bar tender gave us some good recommendations. We lucked out coming on a Monday (all the mains were half off). The bread and brie cheese was a perfect start. My wife's burger had some amazing secret sauce on it. I asked the bar tender what it was and he said it's secret (lol). Thanks for a good time.

Went there for a Sunday roast to catch up with friends. The four of us got to each try out one of the roast options and they were all very good and for good/fair prices. They also have a little quiet outdoors area under the trees which make for a great Sunday lunch spot!
Ps: Personal favorite would be the half chicken.
