A very stylish, friendly and super-clean hotel on Russell Square. The two members of staff who dealt with us couldn't have been more helpful, and anything we asked for was quickly done for us. Our room, 25, was nicely decorated, a walk-in shower, safe, iron etc. A great location too for seeing the sights, the mighty British Museum is quite literally a five-minute walk away. The superb Tropea coffee shop is two mins away too, as is a Tesco. To conclude a very positive experience, the last time we came to London we stayed at a posh gaff in Mayfair; I feel The Morton, personally, was a much nicer place to stay.

In addition to being close to the British Museum, it was also one stop away from King's Cross Station, making it very convenient to access. The people at the counter were also very kind and nice. I once had a problem where I couldn't open the safe in my room, but they fixed it right away and were very helpful. This time, two of us stayed in a double room. The room was comfortable with plenty of space. I was happy to be able to eat a delicious breakfast on the reception floor. If there's one thing you're concerned about, is it when the shower is freshly turned on? I was concerned that the water from the shower was easily leaking out because there was only a small amount of water. Other than this very minor point, there were no other issues, and it was a great hotel.

Really enjoyed my stay and the room itself, but unfortunately the road noise was just too ever present and loud for me to want to stay here again. I would be returning to this hotel without question if they could further isolate the sound on the outer facing windows.

Clean and nice. A very functional late check-in allowing to open front door and room door with phone that was perfect. I would have given a 5 stars but the window noise isolation wasn't good and I felt as if I was on the street with the traffic in the morning. Appart from that I recommend and will certainly come back if I can get a back side room ?Rooms: Very niceNearby activities: Nearby station

Had a cream tea there today...honestly it was painful. The teas are done by the busy receptionist so we struggled to get issues resolved, from getting milk for tea, cutlery which took two attempts. For cream, we were given half a tiny pot for 6 scones...they'd run out. Two small Small pots of Tiptree jam...they'd run out. Apparently they had also run out of hot water, as after asking for a top up on the tea twice we were told no that wasnt possible. We didn't even bother to mention one of the sandwiches were missing. We booked this as a treat and ended up having to go elsewhere for tea. Not sure about the hotel but can't recommend the cream teas. Sorry no pics the venue is nice and what we did get was nice, just not worth the hassle.

We attend the BBC proms(summer classical music festival) during every late august and early september and usually stay close in south Kensington or Hammersmith but this time wanted to change and chose The Morton Hotel for 8 nights. It was also perfectly located one step from Russell square station, just few more with the same Piccadilly line that we frequently use form LHR. Although our first room N.31 had a broken Air conditioner, we were moved to room N.26 that ended up been more quite with an strong AC.Rooms are ample for London standard with king size bed , big bathroom and strong hot shower. There is a delicious espresso machine with fresh milk and cookies at every room.Since I plan our yearly trip to London very well in advance, for sure we will come back and will book again in the coming days.

The Morton is our go-to hotel in London. The location is perfect. The staff must be the best in London. Mimi and her colleagues made our stay a happy one. They helped us with transportation, gave us very useful information, and were always cheerful.

We were lucky enough to stay here following our wedding. While located on the bustling Russell Square, The Morton itself is a tranquil haven, The Library is peaceful, snug and elegantly decorated. We were greeted by wonderfully attentive Raphael who made sure our stay was perfect. The room was luxurious, the bed comfortable, the bath was huge and there were many thoughtful touches such as a shaving kit, toothbrush sets and a nespresso machine for perfect coffee's. We would definitely recommend The Morton and hope to visit again soon

Clean room. Lovely Staff and a Great Location! One small detail: The reception is in the basement, but don't let that throw you. The hotel is quiet and safe and the perfect location to explore London!

We had a delightful stay at the Morton Hotel. It had a great central location and there was no noise between the rooms so I slept very soundly. The staff were very friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Had a lovely stay. Hotel is in an excellent location, a 5 minute walk to the British Museum, a 15 minutes walk to Soho and a 2 minute walk to the nearest underground. Hotel personnel were very helpful. Room was great, clean, quite spacious, and was ready with the crib we asked for. Value for money was excellent, would definitely consider again on our next trip to London.

My partner and I spent 8 nights at the Morton Hotel in room 14. We would especially like to compliment two of the staff, namely Karmila and Raf. Their customer service and interpersonal skills were second to none. Good eye contact, nodding to acknowledge they were listening, asked questions to clarify our needs, informed us what they would do to meet our needs, checked with us to confirm we were satisfied, providing guidance and advice on what and how to visit places, spoke steadily using plain English. They made our stay so much more rewarding. Thanks and congratulations to these two people at the Morton Hotel. AAA credit to you and the Hotel. Jill and Sam.

My husband and I finished up our Scottish Highland vacation with a couple nights in London. I wanted to stay close to the train station (since we came down from Edinburgh by train), but I also wanted to be in a different area from previous visits. Since I had already done all the major attractions in years past, the Bloomsbury district seemed ideal. Close to Charles Dickens's home (which I had never visited before), close to good restaurants, not a long walk to the West End, close to underground, and we loved our breakfasts at 49 Cafe just a few blocks away. I will be leaving a 5-star review for that place as well. This hotel was much nicer than I anticipated. Of all the hotels we stayed in during our 14 days in the UK, this one was tied for favorite. The other one I really liked was in Edinburgh (Fraser Suites). My only complaints with the Morton are that there did not seem to be any USB ports, and the air conditioning did not really keep the room as cool as I would have liked. We opened the windows a time or two. Other reviewers have complained of street noise, but the hotel does provide earplugs and eye covering. I also LOVED that there was tissue, robes, real milk in the fridge (even having a fridge is a plus in my book), great spot for hair and make up, cute chaise for reading, comfy bed, TV well-mounted in front of the center of bed (not off to one side). Very updated hotel (not tired at all). I would definitely stay here again. I did not know what to expect with the mixed reviews. But this place is a solid 4.5 or above, hands down. Thanks, Morton Hotel.

Lovely afternoon tea served in the lounge at the Morton Hotel. Excellent service, cosy space and delicious food. Nice quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle of Russell Sq just opposite. Would highly recommend.
