Popped in for a quick drink on a Sunday evening. Lovely atmosphere. There was live music on, then someone hit the decks in between. They are known for their vinyl collection. Brilliant place for music lovers!

Great pub, great music

Despite an incident with a tray falling from an upstairs window (that hit my wife), we actually had a great night here. Always a great atmosphere, and the bar staff are great!

A nice atmosphere and good cider/beer/food options. A cozy place for a windy day like the one I was facing when I found this gem. A small chess table and live music almost everyday. The pub has a rich music history and is an excellent London experience!

Where else can you get a pint in Trafalgar Sq/Covent garden for 5.50?! Great real ale kept well (thats coming from a Northerner)
Always friendly staff, happy to give tasters actually they encourage you to, great vinyl always playing. Afternoons in the week are great for a quiet pint but it gets packed for good reason at weekends and evenings. Great vibe though. Been going ages. Legendary pub to those in the know.

Seems like a fine place to get a beer but don't eat here. The food was good but unfortunately the servers were very rude, slow, and incompetent. They made a point to loudly complain about foreigners after we were nothing but polite, despite many issues. Then they did the pleasure of trying to sneak by a 12.5% tip on the bill. If you need to go here just get a beer and skip eating.

If you want a typical American Dining experience being served by sullen 20 year old girls who don?t care about timeliness of service, are totally fine with bringing 3 meals out of the 4 ordered while your companion waits for another 30 minutes, your food gets cold and rubbery because you care about your companion, and you receive no apologies and are rewarded with an automatic service charge, come here!

Traditional pub in London.

Popped in for a drink before meeting up with friends. Cosy little pub that has masses of history and excellent music. Londons narrowest lane is out the back too.

Small and always busy but for good reason. Decent live music on regularly and when it's not the bar staff put on a range of music from the extensive record collection behind the bar. Pretty much always ends up in a big sing along towards closing.

A lovely old pub, we went into the restaurant. Excellent steak and mushroom pie, and fish and chips.

Controversial low rating today. Tend to visit this pub when eating at Thai Pot next door. Happened to pass by on a Sunday, when Thai Pot is closed. An element of the pub is that you can select music from a quite eclectic selection. I asked for Buzzcocks during a period when The Smiths were playing. Barperson proceeded to play Supertramp, both sides, absolutely fine. Then, some third side, not Buzzcocks. Please set expectations a la: we've just had The Smiths, so, a second miserable Manchester band isn't appropriate..... Rating moot as I cannot see myself visiting again.....

Great live music venue. Small but great atmosphere and decent beer selection for craft and cask.
