Unfortunately, the food was both overpriced and poor in quality, it just didn?t meet expectations for the British Library at all. It was the worse salmon bagel and salad I had in years, the cost was £10 for a stale bagel and wet salad, too simple to get wrong.

Terrible overpriced food. Rude service. Yells at students who come into the cafe with their own food even when there's a lot of free tables. There's no other spot to eat in the library so what do you expect?!

I am a regular visitor (though don?t live in London). Has SO many books on site - and even more can be ordered to be brought there - invaluable, when conducting detailed research on something.

The food is as bad as it is expensive. And you don't even get a fork for that price but only wooden cutlery, because the dishwasher has been broken for weeks. Avoid at all costs!

BEWARE!!????Hopefully they will go bankrupt for treating people like that!! Awful food , believe me , I?ve tried every single dish and ALL OF THEM WERE HORRIBLE!- Very low quality of the ingredients.- Very BAD chef!! Hyper inflated prices, cold toasted sandwiches, a croquet monsieur made with dairylee cheese, stale croissant and a very dry brownie. Not impressed (the space looking like it should belong to a bond villain being the only attempt at a saving grace)

Awesome place to visit. A rotating exhibit hall features different exhibits throughout the year with a fascinating permanent exhibit downstairs featuring originalWorks by Shakespeare, illustrated ancient texts and writings. It's free to get in and see the permanent exhibit-the rotating exhibit costs a minor fee. They have a cloak room where you can store your stuff and research facilities upstairs. Their bookstore is the best with reprints of books from their archives. Here you can find reasonably priced paperbacks featuring the first female detective in a crime novel and other treasures. Their store is a must see for all book lovers. A favorite stop when I'm in London!

This is a neat little museum. Not a ton of artifacts but what is on display is really cool. Decent interpretive content but a lot of the stuff is so famous, not much background is needed. Definitely worth checking out.

If you look at John 1:29 in the Codex Sinaiticus these guys edited it! from saying "The next day, john saw Jesus coming towards him and said "behold the lamb of God who loves the sinful of the world" Into a intentionally modified version of the verse which says"The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world"Here is a video that proves it: youtube.com/watch?v=9NHb? You could also just inspect the Codex Sinaiticus comparing their falsified version of the English with what the actual version of the the Codex Sinaiticus says.I'm sure all of Ukraine really appreciates the British Libraries new version of the Bible.

If you're a fan of historical works or literature, a visit to the British library is a must-stop destination. First, it's free to the public and offers a nice respite from warm weather (or a drizzly day). Second, the Masterworks collection is the only room for a visit (takes about 1 hour if it's not crowded). Where else can you see original versions of Shakespeare's folios, lyrics by the Beatles, Tyndale's Bible, and the Magna Carta (from 1225 AD)? The power and influence of British culture is most evident in literature. A visit here will make you realize how profound that influence is to this day. Although people are mortal and temporary, it's amazing how written ideas, laws, and music have had such a profound impact across many generations. One tip is try out the second floor restaurant in the back of the library. It's not as crowded as the front lobby cafe and provides you with similar options for coffee, snacks, or lunch (if you wish). The open windows in the back of the restaurant provide sunlight and a lovely view of the other sections of the British Library complex.
