Oh no! Why on Earth did we wait until the last day of our UK trip to try the Journey Café in Sydenham? This little gem was delightful! Absolutely delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and very friendly staff. Next year when we're through this way again we will absolutely spend more time exploring the menu here:-) The bacon, diced chili pepper and toast was delicious. The kids and I ate ours so fast I don't have a picture for you, lol. My wife got avocado, tomato and halloumi on toast and it was amazing. Coffee and a rich chocolate brownie rounded it out. If you're through this way do stop in!

Really lovely, cosy cafe, serving delicious food. The sandwiches although expensive, are filled with good quality, tasty ingredients.
The staff are friendly and they take care to make the products well, even when busy.
Perfect place for lunch or a light snack.

Disclaimer: I never got the food but don't want to give 1 star as I ordered online through JustEat so this might be more their fault than the cafe's.
Despite saying it would take 10-25 minutes, it was coming up to 2 hours and the timer kept resetting to being ~20-35 minutes away (I ordered at 1:30pm and decided to cancel around 3pm because delivery was saying 3:15-3:30pm and just kept getting pushed back).
It said the restaurant was having trouble finding drivers, which I can understand at a busy time on Saturdays, but halfway through waiting I ordered from another place in the same area as I had no idea if the food would arrive or not.
The other place delivered within 25 minutes and seemingly had no issue finding drivers. Perhaps some places get to prioritise drivers - I have no idea.
I was going to cancel after 1 hour because I was in a rush and needed something quickly, but it said I would pay full price because food was already prepared. I decided I'd just wait the extra ~25 mins or so, but it kept resetting so I gave up.
(It's also discouraging that food can apparently be prepared and sitting about for an hour before it's delivered and I still have to pay full price, but there we are.)
The food might be great (I never received it so can't say), so anyone reading this don't be put off by my review if you're going there in person. But ultimately, extremely frustrating.

Really enjoyed my coffee, and had a lovely conversation with the staff - who all genuinely seem to enjoy what they do!
The atmosphere and gentle music were ace too :)

The owner is very nice lady and she makes the best sandwiches and salads! My favorite is the crispy chicken sandwich and her guilt free brownies. The cafe has a very homy vibe and the staff are lovely too.

This is my favourite local cafe! The atmosphere is lovely, owner is friendly and is chatty with the regulars (of which there are many - always a good sign!). Had the avocado and chilli halloumi breakfast on sourdough today with a cappucino and it was delicious. I've had their sandwiches, cakes and brownies before and they're all great.
