The previous building was destroyed in the fire of 1666, rebuilt and completed between 1680 and 1703, designed by Sir Christopher Wren.Other renovation and reconstruction works followed, starting from 1950 as a 1st degree building of historical and cultural interest. Interior in the shape of a Greek cross, with four columns and perimeter pilasters equipped with gold-colored capitals, distribution of the flat ceiling with beams. There are various objects, period furnishings, sculptures, paintings and the organ. Outside, the dome stands out, surmounted by a lantern and a pointed obelisk at the top.

A quite hall being possible to pray with the deepest simpathy and it's clean enough for the historical church i think

Very near the famous St Paulâ??s, this lovely little church by Sir Christopher Wren was rebuilt in 1677. Look out for the large brass chandelier which came from the West Indies around 1777

Exquisite church half way up Ludgate Hill; the entrance is easily missable among the shops. This is a church loaded with history for the fascinated historian: affiliated with William Penn (of Pennsylvania fame); with a passing brush with Pocahontas, with Samuel Pepys, with Benjamin Franklin, with Sir Christopher Wren; legend has it the first incarnation was in the 7th century AD; part of the original Roman wall around London....I was fortunate enough to venture in as the local choir was practicing; the acoustics are excellent, the rebredo beautiful. One of the finer churches in London.

We had a little free time before meeting friend for drinks, noticed this interesting place and dropped in. No one there but us. Amazing little bits of history; Pocahantas attended here, as did William Penn's father (founder of Pennsylvania)

As is the case in this area of London another church by Wren. Not a large church but very calming and pretty.
