*Only clicked one star to allow me to post this review*I have been locked in a legal battle with 'The Carpet Shop' since I engaged Mr. Jacobs under the pre-action protocol on 15 June 2022 following my belief that the installed carpet may be faulty (*excessive shedding, etc). I paid the sum of £1,703.26 for the installation of the 'literature' carpet on 19 May 2022.To alert other potential customers to my plight, I shall be publishing all correspondence with the aforementioned party over this period that show his vile temper after daring to express my concerns. Due to my own independent checks, I discovered that I had been lied to by the retailer. For months, I had been told that the retailer was waiting to hear back from his wholesaler. On 22 February 2023, I discovered that Faithfull Floorcoverings had sent a letter to the retailer on 22 August 2022 with guidance of how to progress my complaint. At no point had I ever been made aware of it. As a result of no contact, Faithfull Floorcoverings had shut down my complaint.Prior, the retailer telephoned to tell me he had contacted his wholesaler to tell them he has visited my property and accepted the carpet was faulty. He has never set foot in my property. On discovery of the letter to Faithfull Floorcoverings, you would think the retailer would feel a sense of shame and want to progress matters more professionally. But no, that certainly has not been the case. I should also add that I had unproductive dealings with Headlam Group Plc.Two pieces of advice. (1) Please stay clear of this retailer. (2) Always pay by credit card.
