We had a wonderful experience at this pub. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and generously portioned. The atmosphere was welcoming and cosy, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. A special mention goes to our waitress, Mansi, who was incredibly kind and attentive throughout our visit. She made sure we felt comfortable and ensured everything with our food was just right. We also really appreciated being given a box to take home the leftovers, as the portions were more than satisfying. Her warm service really made the evening extra special. Highly recommended!

Good service, Maria, our server took very good care of us. The food came out quickly and was very good. We dined upstairs where it was a quieter and better for families.

It's a nice looking pub, historic interior etc. Prices are very high even for central Lonson - 7.80 for a pint. Tried Hazy day and didn't enjoy it at all...

My 1000th London pub visit!
I chose this pub for my 1,000th London pub visit because my dad trained here in the late 1960s. It was the first pub he worked in his 40-year career as a publican.
The Albert is in the heart of Victoria, just a short walk from the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey. The nearest Tube station is St James?s Park.
The site originally housed a pub called The Blue Coat Boy, first recorded in 1831. It was rebuilt in 1862 and renamed The Albert in tribute to Prince Albert, husband of Queen Victoria, who had died the previous year.
During World War II much of Victoria Street was devastated and later rebuilt, the pub survived virtually unscathed. Today, this Grade II listed Victorian pub stands proudly amid modern steel and glass.
This traditionally decorated two-bar pub retains a Victorian charm with modern comforts. The main bar is divided into front and rear sections with a good sized servery centrally located. Decor includes frosted etched glass, a gold-trimmed ceiling, dark carved wood, historical photos, brass chandeliers, comfortable seating, and a few TVs. To the right of the servery, a passage leads to a cosy snug with an old-world feel. Upstairs, the grand staircase has a Prime Ministers Gallery and a large painting of Prince Albert and Queen Victoria, leading to the Division Bar, which features a division bell once used to summon MPs and Lords back to Parliament to vote.
The beer selection is excellent and included five cask ales. I decided on an Estrella Galiicia, my pint hit the spot, price point was high. The food menu is classic British fare, roasts are available on Sunday?s.
I arrived on a sunny Saturday lunchtime in June. The pub was busy throughout, with a lively, upbeat atmosphere. I was with around a dozen Mates celebrating my London pub milestone, and it was great to get us all together, as everyone leads such busy lives these days. The service was top-notch?I returned another day to take photos, and the team were very accommodating.
This pub was a joy to visit?for its history, stunning architecture and decor, warm hospitality, and, for me, its sentimental value. London has many striking pubs, and The Albert is up there with the very best.

I wouldn?t recommend the chicken sharer. The Albert burger and fish and chips were yummy. We went for ?lunch? and also later at night when it becomes a pub!
