I love this place. I come every week. The selection of teas is amazing. The cakes very tasty but the food also. You shouldn?t be in a rush as serving can take some time if it?s super busy, but it?s worth it!

I recently booked a table at The Tea House theatre for a group of adult students with learning disabilities.
The staff at The Tea House theatre were brilliant. They were very accommodating and supportive. The students really enjoyed themselves and especially the afternoon tea.
A big thank you to the staff and yes, this place is highly recommended.

Mid afternoon Monday after visiting the lovely Garden Museum, I got a large tasty freshly cooked omelette with decent salad and a big, hot pot of tea. Yes there was a bit of a wait for service, but I'd had a warm welcome and it's a small team clearly working hard. There was a copy of Private Eye to read, and a lovely restful, non corporate atmosphere. Their programme of events and activities looks great too.

Went here on a day where they hold a lovely chess club and enjoyed a game and cozy atmosphere with the other players after an incredible pecan pie. Staff were wonderfully kind, and while I didn?t get to meet the cat awake, she was adorable sleeping.

Their tea selection is irresistible, but this time we only had really nice ice cream.

A quaint, easy-going little venue - amazing assortment of teas, but no coffee! Great food; make sure you have plenty of time for service and enjoying it!

Cake was perfectly moist and the scones were AMAZING - and a long tea menu to boot. Bravo!

Came here multiple times and never had a problem until this time, so I had to write a review for the first time. My mom is visiting from abroad and I knew the afternoon teas here were good so I brought her to experience a proper British experience. I don?t know whether our order was forgotten, but we had to wait for 30+ minutes before we even got our tea. But even after we did, it turned out to be the wrong tea for the wrong table, so we had to wait even longer. The waiter returned to doing previous tasks without making a new pot, and when he noticed my mom looking, she told me he gave an exasperated sigh and looked annoyed at us, which felt weird since he seemed apologetic the entire time beforehand. When he did finally got back and remade the tea, he brought it without the fuzzy cover or the sugar, which I always got before when I came to this places. Apart from that, we ordered some crumpets and hot cross buns, but the gentlemen which ordered full breakfasts beside us - despite coming in after us - got their food way ahead of us. The waiter also said the kitchen was backed up hence why our order was late, but everyone else got their food within reasonable time, and we only ordered deserts, so when the waiter said they will take another 10-20 minutes for crumpets and hot cross buns, it just seemed a bit too ridiculous by that point. Needless to say, we ended up leaving. Apart from that, usually I have had a great time here but today, it did kind of taint my mom?s first ever British dining experience :/

Excellent place to visit. A very wide range of tea. Excellent quality food and with a very interesting eclectic furnished interior. Very friendly staff a family atmosphere.
Well worth a visit. You won't be disappointed. A tea house with a charming ambience.

A real hidden gem just behind Vauxhall station! The Tea House Theatre serves up generous, indulgent breakfasts in a quirky, theatre-meets-living-room setting full of charm and cats. I had the veggie Half Nelson and a pot of their bold house blend tea ? both hit the spot. My breakfast looked like it was mostly fried so it?s not that healthy but once in a while you can enjoy yourself! Mismatched furniture, loose-leaf teas in cosy pots, and a laid-back, dog-friendly vibe make it a brilliant choice for breakfast or brunch near Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens. The interiors look like they need a good tidy up as you?ll find theatre props stashed in corners but it adds to the charm. Worth a detour if you love character, comfort food, and a good cuppa. They have some good looking cakes under glass domes. Heads up, you?ll find cats roaming around incase you?re allergic or your dog doesn?t like them.

Waited 5 minutes and no one acknowledged me. There were plenty of staff.

Extremely slow service, so keep in mind you need at least half an hour to get a scone.
