I discovered today, that whilst trying to do transfer, that my account has been frozen.Called 24x7 helpline, who said, ?it?s a branch issue? , must have repeated that 5 times during the conversation - apparently I have to submit ID and proof of address to unfreeze. No prior communication about this from anyone. It will take between ?5-7 working days? to unfreeze account.Can you believe this?Bank has my email and postal address - so, how about you communicate before freezing accounts.

Went there to open a bank account with passport and other proof of ID like bank statement, proof of address, NI number?..Absolute madness they wanted all my HMRC tax returns, pensions statements, Payslips, P60??. After wasting 90min had to walk out. Bureaucracy gone mad ! They even did a mug shot of me look front, left , right, video and audio recording and in the end said their software don?t work so abandoned that idea !!! This time she asked if I could give her my phone and she?d try and open it over the phone?..So glad did not manage to open an account, hate to think what I would have to do to get my money back out. They really don?t know what they doing. The staff think they are all still in India and behave as such. DO NOT USE this branch.

pathetic to the corethis one sunny paul who acts as a customer services advisor lacks minimum basic education on customer servicesthey wasted my time for 3 months to open a simple bank account amount of questions they asked me ... just because i am holding indian sbi bank account they wanted all details from indian bank account and when i ask them how it is useful for uk bank account compared to India they have no answerwhat a fools who are serving customers here have no basic sense of UK practises. i have put up complaint to UK financial ombudsman service to look in to practises of these indian banks operating in uk, very vague and they are following Indian rules rather UK rulesafter 3 months of waiting they still couldnt open a simple savings account for mei strictly advise not to go here and i am also closing my sbi india account, pathetic worst customer servicestime for UK ombudsman service to cancel there license and send these guys back to India and let them operate in India serving locally... they are not fit enough to serve globally. very Indian educated idiots sitting here no idea of uk rules and regulations.the processing team in india should be given some basic education hope they are atleast high school passout if not university educated. same guys sit here in UK eastham branch ... no common sense... cancel cancel there license to operate and send them back deport them to India.

Very poor service way worse than the poorest standards of service by SBI, India. No one know any thing and whole team is roaming and asking each other as headless chickens.

I visited SBI UK Eastham branch many times. Staff is very supportive and helpful. Specially Mr Ashutosh from NRI department Knowledgable person help me and guide me very well. 100% recommended????????

My name is Vijay and I went to the SBI EasthamBranch yesterday with my 91 yr old. I was very very impressed with the way the manager Nayna patiently dealt with my dad?s requirements and made him feel so comfortable as he is a little hard of hearing. The bank is well run and the service is exceptional. Thank you Nayna.

We visited this bank today and contrary to reviews I read, the service offered by the bank personnel was excellent. The issue was acknowledged and resolved by afternoon.Their Internet banking is unreliable and not user friendly. But that does not have anything to do with this branch alone. Sbi needs to look at that centrally.
