The filming location of BBC Sherlock, 221b Baker Street.
Food is very good!
We actually went 2 times in our short stay in London as we found it good priced and very tasteful!

I came for Sherlock, had lunch because of the reviews, stayed for the lovely ambience and returned for another delightful brunch.
Speedy?s became my favourite spot in London during my short stay in the city. I dare saying the Sherlock Show had been filmed here so the staff could eat their dishes during the production.
While I struggled to choose from the options, I was quickly served with a cup of tea. Under the staff?s recommendation, I chose the ?Sherlock Breakfast? ? with a well served portion of smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, fresh tomato slices, avocado and mushrooms. Before leaving, I also had a slice of lemon cake, perfectly fluffy and tasty with my cup of tea.
I returned a second time before leaving London and I was received just as warmly as before. This once, I tried a Smoked Salmon sandwich menu, which was an amazing deal not only for the price, but by the quality delivered.
For the fans of Sherlock, I believe this is a must stop during your time in London. The pictures on the walls give a glimpse of the memories from the production days, and to eat where the characters did certainly is an experience to remember. The music and the mint panelling are also such charming details!
In the rare occasion the restaurant finds itself slightly more empty, I would also recommend having a chat with the staff. Speedy?s has been around for over 40 years, and their passion for this house is what truly makes it into what it is now.
It does get quite crowded during the lunch times since it?s well located next to the Euston Square Station and the university hospital, but if you are willing to share the table during the peak hours, you might be able to stay for a while longer with your cup of tea and dessert.
I hope to come back soon to London, and I will make sure to return to Speedy?s <3

Came here because of Sherlock. We had a change of plan thus ended up only in the afternoon to have a quick meal. We ordered a Sherlock breakfast. It?s fresh and nice. The place is cozy and lovely. Would be back again for breakfast when there is opportunity.

Importantly the food was fresh, well done and pleasant... In fact it took so long to come I think they did their own butchering too. Excellent hash browns!
A typical back street London caf feel and appears used by local workers as well as the tourist.
Handsome guy behind sandwich bar with cheeky smile is welcoming and efficient .
Sadly, his older lady assistant has poor English and so presents brusk and unfriendly .
A larger group came in and I was made (rather than asked ) to move table mid meal which I didn't like . This happened again and two woman on adjacent table were moved to accommodate a larger group in the middle of their meal .
The serving lady would benefit from attending an updated catering hygiene procedures course too to help her practice. She actioned everything with the same gloves on from handling food to dealing with money to hugging her friends. Further, her cloth was cross contaminating around the cafe, table to sandwich bar and not a hint of antibacterial cleaner.
However, this wasn't a negative experience and did the breakfast job . It's important to support small businesses . With some attention to standard catering cleanliness and customer focused service, this place could excel.

A must-see for fans of BBC?s Sherlock. Would I have eaten there if it didn?t feature in Sherlock? Probably not, but I?m glad I did, and the great food made it more than just a tourist attraction.
(It also features some cool behind the scenes photos on the wall)

Typical English sandwich shop with sherlock homes.
Pretty cheap menus for the location.
Food is alright.
If I remember correctly, takeaway is a bit cheaper.

Super nice little restaurant where we were very well received, with a few words in French :) we had a Full English Breakfast, it was very very good for a very reasonable price. The little extra of the restaurant is the building where the Sherlock series was filmed! It is agreed that each of our visits to London, we will return there for breakfast!

Well worth the short trip from Euston station to get a proper coffee for only £2.60. With the added advantage of a little Sherlock thrill for the location.

The pricing was surprisingly good for London.

I visited for breakfast since my hotel was nearby. The English breakfast was delicious and tasted like something my host family would have cooked for me when I was studying abroad in England a long time ago.
