Very helpful and polite staff. One item wasn't in stock but they sent me a text the following day to confirm that the item had arrived and was ready for collection. Their retail section is competitively priced too.

In the UK, it is perfectly legal to set a minimum card payment. However, it is illegal to charge customers extra to cover the cost of your card processing fees, also known as ?surcharging?.To deter merchants from setting a minimum payment, card networks such as Visa and Mastercard have core rules in place. They will penalise you or suspend your account for setting a minimum card fee.

Got yellow fever vaccines and malaria tablets for my family including our two young children and the staff member who dealt with us was amazing. She couldn't have been nicer. Really friendly, helpful and very understanding of the difficulties of giving vaccines to young kids. She dealt with the kids brilliantly and made the whole experience really easy. They cost an arm and a leg but were still cheaper than other places we tried nearby so all in all I have to say it was a great experience and terrific service.

I went to buy some medicines today and the total cost was £2.50 I only had my card with me. The person at the till told me the minimum of transaction by card was £3 and she quickly pointed at the counter asking me to get something else to get to that amount.I would like to remind the owner that it is illegal to ask for a minimum spending by card. I had my own business for 6 years and managed several places so I know that as a fact ( if anyone would like to know more one can quickly google it).You would expect this sort of cheekiness from an off-licence (which they regularly do it to encourage sales or incentivate cash payment) but not from a Chemist.

Always a great service from Shinali and team. Needed my travel vaccinations for an upcoming holiday and Sefgrove pharmacy checked which vaccines were upto date and which ones i needed. Had them administered that day which was great! They have always been able to help with my childrens medications when they have been difficult to source due to national shortages!Great local pharmacy!

Shockingly incompetent. Staff shout at each other. Medication is scattered in different places. They hadn?t ordered my medication despite having had a prescription for two weeks

Update: The lead pharmacist just called to inquire about my review and we had a great conversation about the misunderstanding, our mutual read on the situation. I have to say, that is exceptional and quite rare. Thank you for doing that.Original review: Generally speaking, it's an effectual pharmacy. Yet the lead pharmacist can be very short and unkind, which is just dismal in terms of care. These are patients coming in asking for advice and yet sometimes they're infantilised or treated like an idiot. An attitude adjustment of compassion would do this pharmacy well.

Have to hard disagree with some of the negative reviews here.I?ve lived in Crystal Palace for five years and the staff here have always been efficient, polite and friendly. It probably helps that I always endeavour for be efficient, polite and friendly in return. They kept going through the enormous strain they must have been under during covid and I am eternally grateful for that.I?ve at times been in here and seen the staff treated appallingly by other customers. From general rudeness, condescending tones to outright shouting. It?s completely unacceptable and, reading between the lines, it?s not hard see that some of the negative reviews from Karens on here are from the same type of people that feel entitled to treat employees in that way.

Always super helpful and friendly, they give great advice and will point out alternative options/pack sizes to save you money. Best chemist in the area.

I rarely, if ever post reviews, but on this occasion I was treated so poorly I feel the need to share my experience at this dismally run pharmacy. Sefgrove has a reputation around Crystal Palace for being exceptionally rude and dismissive of customers, and frequently proves this reputation to be true. I have been to this pharmacy many times and have consistently found the female manager to be unhelpful and abrasive, even under the emergency circumstance I found myself in, instead of assisting me she called me a 'very rude woman' completely ignoring the stress I may be under due to the nature of my visit. I followed NHS guidelines and brought all the appropriate information to the pharmacy and still she refused to help in any way. As other reviewers have mentioned, the sign regarding the 'bad behaviour and abuse from customers' speaks more to the attitude of the manager, as I have never seen such a sign before and calls into question why customers may have reached such a level of frustration in the face of such antagonistic and intransigent behaviour. A course in customer relations would be highly recommended. If I could give a score lower than a 1 you would be receiving it.

Great local chemist. Lovely staff and Pharmacists who go out of their way to help you. There are a lot of supply issues with medication (my niece is a Pharmacist in the South West so I know it's tough for them having to say they can't get hold of certain things) but if there is an alternative Sefgrove have always suggested going back to my doctors to get a different prescription. In an ideal world they wouldn't have to do all of this which takes much more of their time, trying to source medications, alternatives and then explanations.Sefgrove is doing an outstanding job and deserve your support & understanding, especially, as all the big foreign-owned pharmacies have just up and left as they realise the effort involved with supplies now.Be kind (my niece is in tears most nights having to tell people she cannot help them - it's soul destroying).

I recognise a lot of the criticism people have put here. Most of the staff are clearly inexperienced and the rest are brusque to the point of rudeness. I have to say if my staff spoke to customers in the tone used here they wouldn?t work for me anymore. Last time I was there a staff member behind the counter was having a loud conversation with someone in the middle of the queue about how awful it was working with the public? Thing is, I don?t really care if I get what I need from them. But I don?t.I had a prescription 2 weeks that they could only partially fill- fair enough, happens a lot. I came back a few days later as requested , turns out they had never ordered the medicine so they didn?t have it again. At least there was some apology (this time). Come back in two days, I was told. I?m back today after 7 days and now they can?t find my prescription. No apology. No explanation. Just a load of questions fired at me about it in public in a busy pharmacy. It just always feels like a mixture of you being told off for it being your fault and them finding out for the first time how prescriptions work. When they were finally able to give me it there was no acknowledgement of the problem or apology that even after waiting 2 weeks they still weren?t ready. I don?t think I?ll be back.

I've been using Sefgrove for over 25 years and always have a nice exchange with the staff working there. They are helpful, polite and knowledgeable.
