The shop is fine but the staff are atrocious.
Having just bought things in another Sainsbury's I was heading into work and stopped in to buy what I'd not been able to previously buy. I had receipts on me for nearly everything I had previously bought.
I made I think three purchases so that I could separate receipts, the third was for fruit and the system didn't recognise the weight so I had to ask somebody to approve the order.
She initially refused, more interested in asking to look through my bags implying that I had stolen everything that I had with me. In the end I had enough of her attitude, I was forced to raise my voice to ask her to leave and then ask for the store manager to come. It truly sickened me how I was being accused of theft with no justification.
They sent a clearly very junior manager who again refused to acknowledge a problem, who wouldn't allow me to pay for my fruit and refused to give me the name of the store manager and there contact number claiming it is on the receipt. For reference the name of the store manager is not on any Sainsbury's receipt, another lie. They were more interested in defending themselves than achieving anything at all.
Again I asked for the store manager, by now again raising my voice in frustration at being refused to allow to pay and with the attitude of the people with whom I had been speaking.
Another manager came (apparently the store manager was on holiday), a gentleman called Shah. Again he claims I didn't want to listen to him, not true. He claims he wanted to resolve this but resolving it means actioning a formal complaint which he clearly had no interest in doing. He on at least, 6, 7 maybe 8 occasions said he would give me the details I wanted, the name and contact number of the store manager, but he kept delaying, delaying and refusing to actually give me the info I want and assisting in any way. He acted as if he wanted to calm me down and resolve the issue but could not understand that that would involve taking action against his staff in some way, shape or form. The first gentleman then kept trying to reach towards my money and receipts and I had to stand between him and my possessions to prevent him taking them. I should have let him take the money, then I could have had the police drag him out of the shop screaming. I'm sorry but the staff in this shop do not deserve to be in forward facing positions. A truly disgusting attitude and behaviour towards there customers.
I will be pushing to make a formal complaint about all these people, but be warned.
If you don't want to be falsely accused of theft, shop elsewhere.
If you don't want staff to try to look through your bags, shop elsewhere.
If you don't want to be insulted, treated like an idiot and being forced to raise your voice to get even the smallest acknowledgement, shop elsewhere.
Basically just shop anywhere but in this godforsaken shop.
As I said the shop is pretty good, well stocked etc, but I'm sorry, the staff are truly atrocious, something which clearly is taught from the top down as evidenced by the behaviour of the guy who acted as if he should be in charge but who clearly couldn't manage anything if his life depended on it. What was his name again, oh yes, Shah.
FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO SHOP.

I recently visited a Sainsbury?s store and overall had a positive experience. The store was clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. Staff members were polite and available when assistance was needed. Most of the products I was looking for were in stock, and the checkout process was smooth with minimal waiting time. It?s a reliable place for everyday shopping, and I would consider returning in the future.

Ima hard working guy who works long hours and I was parked up in Lincoln inns fields till midnight so I thought I?d go to Sainsburys to get some drinks so I purchased a bottle of sprite and 3 x Volvic flavoured water to then go back round to see if they had a multipack of redbull to then be accused by a member of staff for shop lifting when I had a receipt and told him where to go he didn?t take to well to that this treatment is absolutely disgusting as he couldn?t even say sorry the security guard had to do that for him I spend every weekend round this way and always use this store but after today I think I?ll take my business elsewhere sorry Sainsbury?s maybe you should do a store inspection and catch the guy red handed
