Great ambiente in the glass house outside. Great wine, fine food, nice service, smooth ambiente. Can only recommend. Yet the entrance is bit difficult to find ?

One of London?s hidden gems

This is a lovely restaurant tucked away behind a wall. You need to be buzzed in to eat here. What this means, of course, is that you have to be intentional to eat here, and make a reservation. It is worth it.
It was a lovely day, so we ate outside under the pergola filled with ripening grapes. For starters, we had the cod roe dip with fresh baby radishes and absolutely delicious tomato salad topped with feta. The tomatoes were fresh and juicy, and it was just a lovely summer dish. For an entrees, one of us had the tuna with white beans. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the portion was substantial. The rest of us had two of the specials of the day. I had the crispy lamb ribs, which were quite an unusual preparation, but they were very tender and tasty. The wagyu beef entree was sensational. Perfectly cooked beef served with horseradish and some spicy greens. It was truly a lovely meal.
They have several cocktails plus a nice list of wines by the glass.
The staff is great, and the ambience very calm and beautiful. Beautiful. I highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

Rochelle is certainly one of the institutions in East London and I have been trying many times to visit.
I left very disappointed.
The food was ok, good products but nothing to rave about. My main garnish was stone cold and the steak cooking instructions was not as requested. The service was so slow, although they do ask you to place your order within 15 minutes of your booking to get the tables back, but didn?t deliver speedy delivery.
That?s a shame as the setup is great, a little oasis in the middle of London.

I performed guitar at a wedding here. Beautiful venue with great staff. Would recommend. I especially like the grape vines hanging down everywhere, so fun

The place was in my list for 2 years, however was a total disappointment food wise: 4 starters, 2 mains and nothing was tasty with a lettuce for the side barely cooked (inseparable, unable to cut through with a regular knife -yep, not joking).
The menu options look nice first, the restaurant is extremely beautiful but then you receive meals which lack taste, overcooked or just represent bad ideas. Ingredients seem good occasionally though managed to get destroyed by the cooking process.
The most tasty part of the dinner was bread and butter.
The wine list is good actually.

The food was great with good ingredients. The service was excellent and very quick. The restaurant was in a covered area which was nice but would have been nicer in the outside garden area in the summertime. Overall was a bit pricey but the quality of the food was good. Portion sizes were normal

A great restaurant and setting in an old school. It needs to be much stricter on not allowing smoking in the vicinity of the outdoor dining in particular. It also detracts from the grounds. Quite obnoxious and not good to have to comment on it.

On a recent trip to London and Paris visiting a series of nice restaurants, this meal stood out as our favorite. It is tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood. Very cool vibe inside - we sat at one of the garden tables and the design was relaxed and stylish.
The service was super friendly and welcoming. We had a party of 8 so we basically ordered and shared almost everything on the menu. Highly recommend sharing. They coursed it all out for us.
The highlight was an off the menu item, the chef had just purchased some nice large wagyu rib steaks, and he brought them out to show us. I will remember the steak for a lifetime. It came out sliced to share and was swimming on a bed of au poivre sauce that I am salivating at while I type this. I?ll post a pic.
The desserts were fantastic too. This was a fun, long, relaxed Friday afternoon lunch. Can?t recommend it enough.

Been wanting to come here for a while now.
Food was mostly good. Cod was cooked perfectly, short rib was a beautiful cut in a delicious gravy. The lamb croquettes were a highlight!
Sides were a bit undercooked for my liking. Tough cabbage and potatoes. Wine was excellent and service mostly good.
One waiter would just dump our plates on the table without talking us through the dishes. Maybe that's not their policy but it's a nice touch to be reminded of the elements.
Otherwise, our main waitress was excellent.

The food was truly outstanding, but unfortunately, the service was lacking. It felt like we were inconveniences to the wait staff, rather than paying customers who had a reservation. We had to ring twice to get through the door to the restaurant, then we had to wait 15 minutes and flag a waiter down to even order drinks and start our meal. Rather than wait on us proactively and answer our couple of questions with interest, the wait staff acted as if they could not give a hoot that we were there. We honestly wondered whether it was a restaurant for wait staff in training or a remedial job program (it?s not). But it?s worth it for the food. It?s all simple ingredients prepared perfectly. The wagyu beef and polenta with spinach and egg were both divine. So if you can put up with potentially poor service, come here.
